Lexar LockTight CompactFlash cards

Lexar Locktight CompactFlash Card

So Lexar's got a new system for CompactFlash cards aimed at photographers looking to protect data slightly more precious than say, those blurry photos we all take of ourselves in the mirror. Their new LockTight cards come in 512MB and 2GB varieties, and include an administration program for your Mac or PC to setup the security for each card. Once the 160-bit encryption is enabled you can only access the card with the digital cameras and computers you have specified, other devices can't read or even erase the media. As long as you remember your username and password any computer should do; unfortunately your camera options are limited to Nikon's D2X and D2Hs digital SLRs. Hopefully we'll see more manufacturers hop on the LockTight crazy train before long.
