Motorola IMFree…for free
Remember Motorola's IMFree wireless AIM handset, you know, the non-backlit one that can't be used at the same time as a cordless phone? Well apparently not many people do, because this device which once sold for $120 is now available for free from Tiger Direct (after mail-in rebate, natch) until October 31st. Tiger Direct's generosity is particularly surprising following their silly tiff with Apple over the use of the word "Tiger." (Even to this day, we keep mistakenly using our Mac OS when trying to order no-name electronics, always without success.) Free is free, so if this your thing, snatch it up while you still can; as for us, well, we usually feel that a free bag full of garbage is still just a bag of garbage.
