HP turns 40, makes crazy coffee table
We won't claim to have ever really understood HP's crazy ways, but whatever it is those lab rats have been doing for the last 40 years, we can't think of any higher technological culmination than a crazy multimedia table -- and apparently they'd agree. Misto, as it's known, developed by HP Labs, is basically a large touchscreen table that allows groups of fawning nerds to gather 'round to share pictures, play games, and occasionally spoil everyone else's fun by "accidentally" putting down their coaster at just the wrong moment. Apparently HP's actually shooting for commercial release by Thanksgiving of this year; here's to hoping they make it multi-touch capable.
