What are mages so hot ugly?
When warlocks were getting their demonic powers, they broke off a rib to fuel their incantations. That rib was then thrown away, eaten by some creatures out in Nagrand, and then deposited. That resulting deposit eventually grew into a mage.
You think I'm kidding? Just wait -- this will be the next pickup quest in patch 4.2.

No news on out-of-game access to guild chat yet. Blizzard hasn't really been very communicative on the matter recently. Hopefully this will change soon.

The mage in our raid is woefully doing less damage than our witches, what can we do to help console the mage?
I'd recommend he reinstall WoW. It might be that his account has become corrupted server-side, in which case he should purchase a new account and select "warlock" when making a new character.

I am sure that Blizzard has already asked him to. There is no way it's let that opportunity pass by.

I'd be very surprised if it wasn't out by the end of the month. We don't have an official date, though.
