The Queue All daily quests, all the time

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

Dailies and pet battles, go!

Jeff asked:

I got a Gazelle in one of my battles as an add in pet. I didn't try to catch the first pet. It would not let me catch the Gazelle. I do not have any Gazelles. Is this a bug?

It's not a bug. Sometimes wildlife that isn't suitable for capture and training join in on pet battle fights. That's what happens when you go skulking around Azerothian jungles for cute new friends. Sometimes you find something not-so-cute.

Though I suppose someone could consider a gazelle cute. Whatever -- it's not a bug.

Stephen asked:

Why are Lesser Charms of Good Fortune not counted as a currency, yet Elder Charms a currency? Especially as you get far more of the former than the latter.

I don't know why the devs did it that way, but I agreed that it's rather annoying. Hopefully it changes.

Alexey asked:

Does anyone else hate that we have 3 different daily reset times? We have midnight for profession cooldowns and farming, we have 9 AM for heroics, and we have who-knows-when but late at night for dailies.. Also - is there any way to know how many dailies you have done today, and how long till reset? Since dailies became unlimited I can't see that info.

This is another one I agree with completely. I'm a night owl, so most of my playtime is in the middle of the night. Remember which set of things resets when is pretty confusing, and as far as I know, there is no UI element that tracks things like when dailies reset or how many you've done anymore. Then there's that whole thing where the time changes depending on where you are with cross-realm zones. I'm hoping they'll clean all of this up in a future patch.

If someone has a solution to the dailies question, I'd love to hear it, too.

@dwisms asked:

I'm still not getting rep. Can you only get it through dailies dailies and more dailies?

Pretty much, yes. There are some bonus things you can stumble across while doing your dailies that will give you extra reputation and cut down how many total quests you need to do, but it still boils down to doing dailies.

I know many people find them immensely grindy, but I don't find it that bad if you prioritize what you're working on. If you're trying to do the Tillers, Anglers, Golden Lotus, Order of the Cloud Serpent, and the Klaxxi all in one day ... yeah, that's going to burn you out. Don't do that. Look at what they have to offer and pick a couple you want first and leave it at that. Or do the Golden Lotus one day, and the Klaxxi the next. What Mists of Pandaria does is offer an immense spread of choices so you can do whichever ones you want to do, but many players seem to feel that they need to do all of it every single day. You don't and you're not supposed to! Take it easy!

@ChrisWillowtree asked:

are the old world fishing dailies unique with one of the anglers wharf ones?

As far as I know, no. I did run into an odd situation a couple of days ago where I only had two Angler dailies available to me instead of the usual three, and I suspect something like that might have sparked this question -- but I never did the old world fishing daily that day. I don't know why I was only given two instead of three.
