The Queue: When is patch 5.1?

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

Our first question today is on everybody's mind, so we might as well get right into it.

Alexey asked:

Do we have ANY estimate for 5.1?

Not from Blizzard, but our best guess is November 27. There have been some guesses about it launching this week (as in tomorrow) but I sincerely doubt Blizzard wants to sit in their office making hotfixes during Thanksgiving. The current PTR build is a release candidate which means the patch itself isn't too far off either way.

Ron2 asked:

I don't want to read too far into the Dagger in the Dark scenario for spoiler reasons, but are some of these scenarios faction-specific?

Yes! The scenarios based around the various faction leaders are specific to their faction. If you want to see Tyrande's scenario, you need to do it Alliance. Vol'jin? Horde.

connelallison asked:

If I buy Heart of the Swarm DD edition right now, when do I get my goodies?

Immediately! Check your in-game mail.

Tony asked:

how do I get more Elder Charms, besides the three-a-week I can get by turning in 180 of the lesser ones to the NPC? I now have over three hundred and sixty filling up my bank. I know, next patch they'll be converted to currency, so I can get back two slots, but still. I want more Elder Charms each week than the measly three. Something is way out of balance here. Help?

You can only get the three per week. Yeah, you have a ton of lesser charms right now, but think long term -- eventually you'll run out of dailies to do or simply want to take a break from them. When that happens, you'll have a stockpile of lesser charms to turn in so you won't feel pressured into doing those dailies you'd like a vacation from.

If you're less concerned about your bag slots and more concerned with just having more Elder Charms to burn ... that's kind of the point. You're limited on how many you get per week. You need to pick and choose when you cash in that extra loot roll. If you could get as many Elder Coins per week as you wanted, you could effectively get an extra loot roll on every single boss you kill, then what's the point? It stops being a bonus. It becomes two loot rolls by default.
