WRUP: Pictures of bleach on the internet edition

The less said about the anime and manga the better.

This was a serious week for some of us. Or a serious Tuesday, anyway. One of our readers consequently asked for some brain bleach, like pictures of cats. This prompted a very serious discussion in the Massively virtual offices about whether we should be using cats or bleach for such purposes, and despite what you might think about people who work on the internet, bleach won by a single vote.

So enjoy your bleach, everyone. Your whites will never be whiter as this harsh chemical sears fabric into its brightest possible white. Do not mix it with ammonia in a closed room.

Of course, all of this is secondary to the main event, which is WRUP. It's just past the break, and while discussion of bleach and cats has been excised, all of the information about what we'll be doing over the weekend is still in place. You can also let us know what you'll be up to over the weekend down in the comments.

Beau Hindman, F2P and Mobile Columnist

@Beau_Hindman: I'll be enjoying the All-Con convention here in Dallas all weekend. I'm dressing up as "Old Man Finn" and my wife is going as Lumpy Space Princess. Oh my Glob! In between the visits to the show, I'll hopefully be able to get some time in Wakfu. I'm very critical of it, but it's still one of the most original MMOs running today.

Bree Royce, Editor-in-Chief

@nbrianna: I'll probably be mucking around in Guild Wars 2 again this weekend on the Warrior or Engineer. And then I want to dig through my folder of unloved games and play something clever and hip. Haha just kidding. I'll probably be playing mushroom house in Skyrim.

David Desi, Multimedia Contributor

@PsykopigAU: I'll be getting acquainted with the new Tomb Raider a little while trying to slide my way back into Guild Wars 2 a little bit! Probably a bit of The Secret World as well to pass the time!

Dylan Tehrani, Multimedia Contributor

Ill be playing StarCraft II this weekend working on my PvZ build. I've been slowly reading the definitive guide to Protoss vs. Zerg on the TeamLiquid forums. The authors compiled a lot of data over months of replays and pro analysis, which means when I lose... I can blame the pros! Just like basketball and football fans do!

Eliot Lefebvre, Columnist Extraordinaire and Senior Contributing Editor

@Eliot_Lefebvre: I'll be doing something secret this weekend, but I'll also be playing Star Trek Online and remembering the early levels fondly as I experience them again. And try to figure out how the heck to spec my character. I knew with the old system and don't know the new one.

Elisabeth Cardy, Guild Wars 2 Columnist and Contributing Editor

@elixabethclaire: I'll be playing some Guild Wars 2 this weekend in and around some much-needed social and quiet time. I'll also be playing a handful of mobile games because who needs a reason they're all super awesome.

Jasmine Hruschak, Multimedia Contributor

@irljasmine: After grinding out 6,000 honor, it's time to take it easy on my Rogue. In World of Warcraft, anyway. Thankfully, another Neverwinter beta weekend is here to fulfill those sneak-up-and-stab-something needs! Tiefling Rogue, here I come. I'll be walking the thin line coping with "oh sweet fancy internet Jesus I really want to play this beta" while avoiding the dreaded Beta Burnout.

Jef Reahard, Managing Editor and Columnist Extraordinaire

@jefreahard: I'll be playing the new SimCity. Oh, wait. No I won't, because games-as-a-service is awesome! Actually, I haven't even purchased SimCity. I have more than enough MMOs and games-that-desperately-wish-they-were-MMOs on my plate already. These include Star Wars: The Old Republic, The Secret World, and DC Universe Online.

Justin Olivetti, Columnist Extraordinaire and Senior Contributing Editor

@Sypster: I'll probably be getting my fair share of time in the Neverwinter beta this weekend. I don't want to spoil myself too much on it, but I'm excited to see the Control Wizard class and any improvements Cryptic's made over the previous beta event. Apart from that, you can find me in Lord of the Rings Online on my Captain or Lore-master.

Mike Foster, Contributing Editor

@MikedotFoster: Running some World of Warcraft dungeons and playing (gasp) StarCraft II, the latter of which I have owned since launch but never actually sat down and enjoyed. I'll also probably check out Spiral Knights if time allows.

MJ Guthrie, Columnist Extraordinaire and Contributing Editor

@MJ_Guthrie: I shall be braving the harsh lands of Neverwinter! Or maybe cowering from them. I may be cowering instead. I am not sure. I also plan on trying my hand at the new temporary Shugo instance in Aion, as I hear I might even finally score my Stormwing gloves in there. If I manage to wrangle some more free time out of the weekend, I will work some more on my uber awesome secret project in EverQuest II.

Patrick Mackey, League of Legends and Age of Wushu Columnist

@mackeypb: I am playing mostly Age of Wushu and League of Legends, again. Is this really a surprise? AoW has been really interesting due to a ton of guild drama, along with some pretty major guild wars coming up. LoL has had some memorable games; I started playing Dominion again and have won all my games thus far. Is a change blowing in the wind? I don't know!

Richie Procopio, Multimedia Contributor

@RichieProcopio: This weekend, the Neverwinter beta, Tomb Raider, and Guild Wars 2 will all vie for my attention. Who will win? Well, Neverwinter will get at least two hours of my love since I'm streaming it Saturday night. Tune in and say, "Hi!" It's the right thing to do.

Terilynn Shull, Star Trek Online Columnist

@terilynns: I will happily be playing Star Trek Online in between my stints of jumping back into the Neverwinter beta! And if I ever figure out how the construct/deconstruct thing works in The Secret World, I might be back at Innsmouth Academy in the library.

At the start of every weekend, we catch up with the Massively staff members and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" (Otherwise known as: WRUP!) Join us to see what we're up to in and out of game -- and catch us in the comments to let us know what you're playing, too!
