Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist looks to Kickstarter for funding

While Capcom gave its blessing to Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist, it would seem the series needs financing before it can be completed. A Kickstarter campaign for the live-action series has launched and is seeking £625,000 (around $950,000), for a planned debut this coming winter.

The Kickstarter campaign is of note because these guys produced quite arguably the best three minutes of live-action Street Fighter footage on the planet with their fan-film, Street Fighter: Legacy. As with any Kickstarter campaign, there are several different tiers – like the crazy £5,000 level, which guarantees you Ryu, Ken, Akuma or Gouken's sweaty costume once filming has completed, or a chance to hang out during the filming of an episode.
