The Queue: Undertow

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Probably been a while since I reminded you guys that Warpaint owns, so hey, Warpaint owns, y'all!

jmduarte asked:

Why people is assuming that the expansion ends in 5.4? If I remember correctly, Blizzard said that they wanted to speed up the patches launches (ha ha, that last sentence sounds fun), with shorter waiting time between launches and smaller patches like in Vanilla. Couldn't that mean that we could end in, perhaps, 5.12 or so?

Well, the expansion tends to end when we take out the final boss, and in this case Blizzard has been very clear: Garrosh is the final boss, and we fight him in 5.4. It's a reasonable assumption that's when the expansion will end! If it doesn't, the following patch will almost certainly not be a major content patch.

Robert15 asked:

Any word if ToT will be a cross realm raid next patch?

Not in 5.3, but by the time 5.4 rolls around, almost certainly. That seems to be the way the feature's working.

fatherdmo asked:

My mage just hit 90 on the opposite faction. I dont want to miss out on the story from 5.1 (the krasarang stuff) where can i go to start those quest?

You'll find the questgiver in your faction's hub in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. The quest is named Meet the Scout.

SethMassa asked:

Question about the Staff of Antonidas quest (for Kirin Tor on the Isle of Thunder). When you hand over the staff to Jaina, her picture changes to a more evil (in my opinion) look, and then reverts back when she finishes talking. Do you think she may be the one possessed by the Sha of Pride? (She says something about now having the power to take out Garrosh herself--which I thought she already had...super powerful mage and all.)

It's almost certainly a bug. Something similar happened a while back with ... some other model I can't remember. An odd portrait showed up and people thought it was an indicator of a new model for something, some big secret, but it was just a weird bug.

If Blizzard wanted you to know that Jaina was secretly evil or corrupted, they'd be more overt with it. This is the way of things.
