The Queue: Lean and hungry type

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

As requested by the guy who always posts MST3K: The Movie quotes in the Queue comments.

Bugboy asked:

The updated human models will also apply to worgen when in human form, yes?

I don't see any reason why they wouldn't. All other humans in the game will get their models changed too.

GordonSullivan asked:

I had a really crazy thought which led to a similarly crazy question just now...

Is there an upper limit to how much prepaid game time you can have on your account? For example, could I buy ten years worth of game cards and put them all on my account?

... Not that I actually plan on doing that, just wondering. :P

Not that I'm aware of. When I was an employee I had 25 years worth of game time stored up. If you're planning on going to a Gamestop on Black Friday, don't worry about hitting some imaginary game time upper limit. Buy buy buy!

alpha5099 asked:

Could anyone explain this DoT snapshotting thing I keep reading about? I just came back to the game after about a 2.5 year break, and I just have no idea what anyone is talking about when I read blue posts on the subject.

Sure. Right now when you cast a DoT, its damage will reflect your current buffs and won't change if those buffs wear off during its duration. So let's say you're under the effects of Heroism and an intellect proc from your trinket with five seconds left on both. You cast Corruption. Corruption will continue to do damage based on your stats at the time you cast, even five seconds later, when both buffs are gone. The devs are removing DoT snapshotting, instead having each tick reflect your stats when the tick occurs.

RuyanThe Explorer asked:

Blizz has been teasing us with Alleria and Turalyon for years. My brother and I vowed that if they showed up again that we would switch back to Alliance (assuming they'd side with them). Is it safe to speculate that we won't be seeing them in WOD? I'm assuming not since we have all of these other big name lore characters. If not, when is our best chance of finding them and hearing their story? I'm dying to know what they've been through since the closing of the Dark Portal.

Chris Metzen said at BlizzCon that Alleria and Turalyon wouldn't be making an appearance this expansion, but that they'll definitely be involved at some point in the future.

RocsRStrong asked:

Is there any word on whether there will be new hair style and facial feature options for the upgraded character models? Or are we just getting upgrades to the existing options? I'd really like to see more options in addition to the upgrades.

More options are coming, but the devs said that the highest priority is making sure all the models are done first. I can agree with that.
