The Queue: More draenei are required

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

I'm tired of looking at orcs. Today calls for a draenei.

JordanPhillips asked:

Will garrisons be phased? Can our friends visit our garrisons or will they all be individually phased?

Blizzard answered this one at BlizzCon, but we've seen the question many times, so it's certainly worth answering! You'll be able to invite party members to your garrison, but no one will be able to simply wander in. If you want your friends to be able to visit, they can. If you want to be alone in your fortress of solitude, you don't need to let anyone in.

It's currently unknown what visitors will be able to do on your garrison. Whether or not they can interact with your NPCs, make use of your buildings/resources, all of that -- it's unknown.

LeighHunt asked:

Brawler's Guild - have we heard anything about this for WoD? I've not done it much in MoP. Will it continue with new levels? Will we be able to squish the earlier levels once we are 91-100?

We haven't heard anything on this front yet. Brawler's Guild is an odd one because I don't believe the developers ever meant for it to be a huge feature, just a fun idea they had. Personally, I expect that we'll see more content added to the Brawler's Guild eventually, but maybe not with the launch of the expansion. That's total speculation on my part with nothing to back it up. It just seems to me that it would be easy to add more bosses to it down the road, but wouldn't make much sense to focus on it as launch content.

It might be considered Mists of Pandaria content and only Mists of Pandaria content, though. They might just let it fade away. Only time will tell if they rebalance existing bosses for 91-100. Something to keep an eye on during alpha/beta.

MTA asked:

Were any of the WoW Insider guys in Pax East to report on Blizzard news specifically WoW?

We had Scott Andrews out there and we'll have some things coming from him today. He had a little time with the developers and came out with some good info. Keep an eye on the site!

@ThunderBluffer asked:

any reaon why all the top pve guilds play on pvp servers. Seems counterintuitive

This tends to flip-flop around as guilds come and go, but generally speaking, the more "hardcore" players in an MMO tend to jump onto PVP servers. They do everything on Hard Mode.

Also, many of those guilds draw (or drew) roots from previous places like big web forums -- Something Awful, for example. When you have an extensive social network in place before even jumping into a game, getting ganked isn't much of a threat anymore. You're part of a large, powerful force. You aren't getting ganked. You and your buddies are going to be doing the ganking. When you're on a PVP server with a guild like that, you have a lot more power over your server than you would on a PVE realm.

@Lanthyn asked:

if you were a fish, would you be a happy fish?

Nah. Fish can't write. What would I even do as a fish?
