The Queue: Keep on

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Keep on keeping your camera on.

jabrone77 asked:

I'm not sure if this has been asked or not yet, but what's up with the Mogu now? We beat their king and ruined their takeover, so where do they go in the future? A new horde playable race in the e xpansion after Dreanor? (Ok, that last one's wishful thinking...)

They'll probably hang out and lick their wounds for another thousand years, then make another stab at retaking Pandaria. They're pretty rudderless at the moment.

CaptainCakewalk asked:

I see allot of folks asking for Raids like the old days and I'm aware that LFR is hard enough to get into without needing this many players but why ever did Blizzard drop the 40 Man Raids? I never Raided until Cataclysm despite playing since TBC and this has always been on my mind.

Lots of reasons! Technical issues like lag and performance, social issues like recruiting problems and the fact that 15 people were basically AFK during any given raid, design issues like figuring out what jobs to give that many people ... as someone who raided a lot in vanilla, I'm glad as hell they're gone.

MusedMoose asked:

has Blizzard ever offered discounts on character services? I've been thinking about race-changing my druid, but $25 is a lot of money. Then again, considering the options are "pay $25" or "spend a bunch of time raising yet another production profession and leveling yet another alt through Outland again", it's kind of a toss up.

They've offered discounts on paid services before, but I believe it's been a while.

skawilliams asked:

I like the transmog set from Heroic Dragon's Soul. How many lvl 90 people would I need to to recruit to clear it? And would the 10 or 25 man version be easier?

You'd only need a handful of people for Dragon Soul H10. 3? 4? Even then that's really only because of Ultraxion. Boss health is way lower in 10. The only reason you'd want to do 25 is if you had a full group.

Eliza asked:

I haven't messed with Hearthstone much; can you set up matches against your friends, or is it only against random opponents?

I'm sure something's set up to prevent win-trading and all that, but I didn't know if it was possible to play against your buddies just for funsies.

You definitely can, you just don't earn any of the in-game currency for doing so. Just for funsies, as you said.
