The Queue: Follower missions, bug complaints, and cosmetic accessories

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky (@adamholisky) will be your host today.

We'll jump right into the questions today. Let's go!

Toy asked:

Q4TQ: do we know how follower missions get generated ?

Even though most of my followers are 645+, I still get a lot of progression missions (more than half), and only few 100, 615 and 630 ones ( I know 645 ones are rare anyway). So I've started re-activating <100 followers, so those leveling missions don't go entirely to waste.

In the end,

1- would keeping only 100+ (or even 645+) followers active give me more "good" missions ?

2- Do inactive followers impact the missions I get ? Is the system taking account inactive followers when generating the missions list?

Great questions!

Follower missions are randomly generated. The item level of your top followers do impact which missions are put into the pool -- however there doesn't seem to be a set-in-stone ratio of what 645/630/615 missions you're going to get compared to regular 100/9x missions. My guess is there's a couple dice rolls that are happening behind the scenes to fill a somewhat random mission slots, but that's just my own speculation.

If you want the best possible chance for high-level missions, do not activate low-level followers. Having all level 100 followers forces only 95+ missions to appear; that's the best you can do.

As far as running the 95 - 99 missions, I do -- but I also have a level 3 salvage yard that is helping me get item level gear for my followers. I'd recommend everyone does the same.

Arkensis asked:

any idea how to get devs to fix a problem that's had a LOT of complaints but isn't being addressed? The Rom'ogg fight in Blackrock Caverns is bugged, and is the last hurdle to a LOT of people getting their Glory of the Cataclysm Hero meta. I just want that mount!

Filing in-game bug reports, talking about it on the forms, and tweeting to the devs and the official warcraft accounts on Twitter -- those are the ways to communicate to them. They do see these things and stuff does get fixed! It can just take a while. I've discovered a couple bugs over the years, and all of them are eventually corrected. It can just take a while.

Chadalac asked:

What ever happened to the accessories making an appearance in WoD? My hunter would love to have his quiver!

And don't get me started on my paladin's librams...

It's one of those things that we've heard about and then nothing comes of it. Blizzard has said that they're going to do it eventually, but it didn't make the release of Draenor, and I'm not holding my breath for it to be released in a patch this year.

I don't expect accessories to go the way of the dance studio, however.
