Top Five Cool Technologies Creating shoes!

The shoe making process is an amazing process that has changed very little in the past 80 years. Although the principles haven't changed likewise with every invention, technology keeps going forward. No matter if it's a sweatshop or a professional high-end luxury shoe company like Louibuitin, the technology and process involved remains the same for the most part. And with the competitive market that is becoming more over-saturated by the days, innovation is needed to stay afloat. Here are five facts on the technological process of shoe making and innovation that have taken place.

1. Making comfortable shoes

We often take for granted the process taken to gather data to create the perfect shoe. Creating a shoe that is comfortable for athletes and regular everyday people are crafted from data taken over a period of time. There are real scientist that collectively gather information on pressure areas of the anatomy of the human foot of runners and average joes alike. With this data large shoe manufactures can figure how to make the perfect shoe and craft perfect soles that won't irritate the user's feet. One major company that incorporates this process to almost every shoe is Nike. Nike claims that they have a whole laboratory and special staff just to harness the perfect comfortable shoe sole.

2. Light up Shoes

In the sense of styling, light up shoes is sure to turn heads. They are for the rebel that won't be satisfied with regular shoes. These shoes are made with installing LED lights around the bottom of the shoes. And sometimes they have pressure plates within the soles of the shoe ,so these plates are connected to the LED lights and with each step your shoes will be a light-show. With many new technological advancemetns, the light up shoes operate on a lithium-ion battery. With lithium ion batteries prone to fires I wonder how safe these new shoes will be.

3. 3D printed shoes

It isn't a surprise that the 3D print technology has made its way to shoes. While it's still in its experimental phase, don't be surprised to find out in the near future that your shoes were printed. The process is simple, 3D modelers first design the 3D model on the computer and the 3D printer later prints it. Like stated before, it is still very much in alpha ,but given years this will be the revolution in manufacturing.

4. Waterproofing

Creating a waterproof shoe is important, with the many different elements out there the most common element our shoes deal with is water. The process behind this is simpler than you might imagine. But since most shoes don't carry this protection i'm going to focus on the company that literally brags about this feature ,and this company name is Timberland. Timberland boots are the most reliable boots of all time ,and recently they have added a water shield protection named crep protect. Crep protect is sprayed on all over the shoe and once sprayed on; it takes about 30 minutes for the protection to reach full effect and you will have waterproof shoes.

5. Smart shoes

With the IOT (internet of things) becoming a real possibility no everyday object is safe including shoes. Recently, IT designers has been implementing internet features into shoes. Among these features are gps and texprocess, making a normal shoe ever as special as it has ever been. Companies have been using this to their advantage to determine the trends with design and comfortability. Even though this is still considered to be very much a niche, it won't be unexpected once companies implement microchips into shoes.
