Razer’s Blade is the cream of the modern gaming laptop crop. It’s expensive, but it offers the most refined notebook gaming experience we’ve seen. And it’s comfortable enough to use for all of your productivity work, too.

  • Powerful hardware
  • Smooth 144Hz display
  • Comfortable keyboard and trackpad
  • Solid battery life

If a 15-inch workhorse like the Dell XPS 15 isn’t powerful enough for you, and the battery life on gaming laptops like the MSI GS65 is too middling, then check out the new 15.6-inch Razer Blade 15. Just maybe don’t splurge on that 144Hz display.

This looks like a laptop you could take into a conference room for a meeting. It's sleek, sophisticated, understated in its appearance. But as soon as you fire it up and open a web browser, you'll annoy the living daylights out of everyone else in the room. Otherwise, the Blade 15 is a masterpiece of design and engineering. Bravo, Razer. Bravo.

Stuff
If you’re dead set on a laptop to fulfill your PC gaming needs, then the Razer Blade 15 is one of the best buys available. It’s an absolute powerhouse, has a beautiful display and is a portable marvel. Plus, it looks the real deal and could easily infiltrate the office without attracting a glare from your boss. But when you’re spending over £2000 on something, you want it to be near-on faultless, and that's just not the case here. The battery life is lacklustre for a machine that boasts portability and that heating issue is frustratingly inconvenient at best. If you’re willing to overlook these flaws though, you’re getting a monster of a machine in return - one that I’d seriously consider replacing my PS4 with had I £2330 lying around…

These are not cheap machines. I can't really comment on the 4K model as I haven't tried it. And while I personally didn't mind the performance of the 1060/144Hz, it may not be enough to justify to price point. That being said, if you're like me, perhaps the battery and portability is enough to get it over the line for you.

TechRadar
The 2018 Razer Blade is an incredibly slick and good-feeling laptop, but it’s held back by some flaws that are tough to ignore. Razer is clearly at the top of its game with the latest Blade, but the rest of the gaming laptop world is clearly catching up.

The redesigned Razer Blade moves the bar on slim gaming laptops, with better hardware and a bigger screen, but you'll need a bigger budget for it, too.

The Razer Blade is the best of both worlds.

Laptop Magazine
The Razer Blade 15's sleek new look is refreshing, and the laptop offers long battery life. But the display could be brighter, and the keyboard isn't comfortable.

The 2018 Razer Blade redefines the category it inspired: the super-slim, powerful gaming laptop. The best thin design in the business now packs a roomier 15.6-inch display and cutting-edge components.
