The PBS show Postcards From Buster highlights a curious animated bunny, named Buster, that leads this children's travel show. This week, under pressure from conservatives including Education Secretary Margaret Spellings, PBS has pulled an episode of the show that featured a family headed by two women. Buster visits different children all over the country to bring diversity into the home. Obviously his trip to Vermont, in the episode called “Sugartime,” was a bit too diverse for conservatives. According to this USA Today story, there is no mention of the words “gay,” “homosexual,” “lesbian,” “civil union” or “Kate & Ally.” But Buster does deliver a choice line of “That's a lot of moms.” Oh that Buster.
