It might be your time up there, but it's my time -- my time -- down here! For this latest edition of Choose My Adventure, I get to hand out a selection of odd little games for you to vote on, and then for the next month and change, I will stumble my way through the title. At your direction and with your help, of course. The trouble is that I have already played darn near everything. I've downloaded and tried so many games that I simply can't remember them all. So, what to do? Well, I decided to give a mix of games a chance at several weeks coverage here on Massively. I picked out an assortment of browser games, independent titles, and lesser-known client-based MMOs. Hopefully you will steer me the right way, and if I am lucky, I won't even have a horrible time. I chose games that I know have a robust community in the hopes that plenty of voters will turn out. The key is to get the word out there, so if you have a favorite, go tell your community! But first, click past the cut and vote on the game you would like to see me tackle for the next several weeks. Just don't expect to see triple-A games on the list!

AdventureQuest Worlds, the seriously tongue-in-cheek free-to-play browser-based MMO that draws people like crazy every year at Dragon*Con, has announced that the war meter is currently climbing. For those of you who aren't aware of this brightly colored world, this means that the end of the current chapter, Mythsong, is coming to a close. According to the story so far, Chaos Lord Discordia has made off with all the bands in AdventureQuest Worlds, save one, and is poised to infect the world with an eternity of nothing but opera. His minions, the hilarious "Music Pirates," will invade in force, attempting to skew the world towards Chaos -- and Puccini. As if that weren't enough, the invasion -- slated to start this Friday, June 25th at 8pm Eastern -- will also play host to an enormous in-world concert by punk band One-Eyed Doll. Apparently Discordia made off with all the bands, save that one, so players will get to join forces with One-Eyed Doll to fight against the Chaos Lord's music-mad minions -- while enjoying a free concert. On top of that, special limited-edition items related to the war against Discordia will be available in the AQ Worlds shop; afterwards, these items will disappear forever. So if you're in the mood to smack down some opera-fiending Music Pirates, or catch One-Eyed Doll's show, then head over to the AdventureQuest Worlds site and get signed in -- or signed up!

Artix Entertainment (soon to be Battle On Games), the team behind the easily addicting AdventureQuest series of games and the AQ Worlds flash MMO, has recently announced their acquisition of another flash-based pseudo-MMO -- EpicDuel. The EpicDuel team has been completely integrated into the Artix Entertainment staff, keeping them in charge of their own game while still allowing them the expanded resources and technology that drives the Artix Entertainment products. To celebrate, EpicDuel is getting a complete overhaul, including adding hips (which was a whopping 3,500 frames of animation changes alone), a new player housing system, changes to the battle system, and more. All of this comes with the new test of the Artix master account system, which will unify accounts across all Artix Entertainment games with a master login. This will, of course, include AdventureQuest Worlds, our specific title of interest here on Massively.
