Limited edition PS4 celebrates 500 million PlayStation consoles sold
Sony revealed that it has sold over 525 million PlayStation systems worldwide since the console first launched 24 years ago, and that it's doing something special to commemorate it. It unveiled the "500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro" with a dark blue translucent shell, complete with a matching DualShock 4 controller, PlayStation Camera, vertical stand and mono headset.
Sony brought new PS4 accessories too
Sony didn't talk about it much during today's PlayStation Meeting event, but the reworked DualShock 4 (CUH-ZCT2) spotted in earlier leaks is real. If you're looking for first impressions on gaming, we have a post about that right here, and we'll have a full judgment of the angular console in our full, post-patch review later this week. For now though, wouldn't you like to know what lurks within the offline PS4's Dynamic Menu -- you know, that thing that replaced the XMB? It's admittedly minutiae, but it's all stuff you'll want to know when you first unbox and boot up the patchless PS4.
