Cadillac pauses its $1,800-per-month car subscription service
Just one year after launching it, Cadillac is temporarily ending its expensive car subscription service, the Wall Street Journal reported. Book by Cadillac, which charged drivers $1,800 to be behind the wheel of one of the company's cars, will be paused started December 1st. Subscribers will have 30 days to turn in the vehicles they were renting through the service, meaning they'll have to find another ride pretty quickly.

Volvo’s new US-made S60 sedan will be available via subscription
Volvo's new S60 sedan marks a bit of a sea change for the automaker: It's its first of its vehicles not to have a diesel variant, the first manufactured in the United States and the third to be included in the company's car subscription service. Given its commitment to release any new models after 2019 only in EV or hybrid, and half its sales electric by 2025, the S60 may be how Volvo vehicles are released going forward.

Cadillac is renting vehicles as a subscription service for $1,500 a month
Variety is the spice of life, but reality is full of commitments. Buying a car typically means being stuck with a specific model for the duration of ownership. If you have enough money to burn, however, Cadillac has another option: Don't own a car. Subscribe to one. Today the company announced Cadillac Book, a "luxury vehicle subscription service" that lets you rent various Cadillac vehicles on the fly. Basically, it's an app-based rental service that carries only one brand of vehicle and costs $1,500 a month.
