Just ten days after the LG Arena (or KM900, if you're the proper type) launched officially in Europe, T-Mobile UK has already moved in to snag some thunder with an exclusive color: black. Not like black handsets are hard to find or anything (in fact, we already knew this phone was shipping to someone in black), but we all know how giddy the world gets when something gets labeled as rare. Reportedly, the formal color name will be Titan Black, and outside of the new hue, everything else will remain the same. Check it later this month for free on Flext 40 and Combi 40 plans.

  • Pentax douses K-m in olive, K20D in titanium

We know, you're a firm believer that there's evidence of thaumaturgy splattered all over here, but believe it or not, all it takes to create a camera in a new color is powerful signature and a little paint. As Pentax has done so often in the past, it's pumping out new editions of old cameras with fresh hues. The latest duo to don new Springtime wardrobes is the K20D -- which is now outfitted in titanium -- and the K-m, which now sports an absolutely peculiar olive shade. Both models are being limited to 1,000 in quantity, and while no price is mentioned, we get the feeling a ticket to Tokyo may be your only shot at acquiring one.Read - Olive K-m, via PhotographyBLOGRead - Titanium K20D, via PhotographyBLOG

Remember that marginally unsightly red and gold T700 we spotted back in January? Yeah, O2 UK just got up the nerve to actually offer it up for sale, but it's doing the smart thing by selling it for £0.00 on a Pay Monthly contract. In case you've forgotten the specs, this one boasts up to 8GB of expandable memory, a 3.2 megapixel camera, MP3 player, inbuilt speakers, up to 9.5 hours of talk time, video capturing abilities, an FM radio, a 2-inch display and 3G data support. You know, on second thought -- maybe that color combination is starting to grow on us.[Via MobileBurn]

  • Rogers begins selling white Nokia E71, Americans consider relocating

You Yanks may bang on the Canucks for having to deal with those ridiculous three-year contracts, but every so often, something goes down in the Canadian mobile space that flat-out silences everyone beneath the border. Take this, for instance -- Nokia's white E71, which can only be scored over in Europe and now in Canada with support for native 3G bands, is finally on sale at Rogers Wireless. Oh sure, the only difference between this E71 and the black E71 is the colors involved, but we all know just how important that becomes when exclusivity is mixed in. The pain? $99.99 on a lifetime, er, three-year contract. Sorry, we had too.[Via MobileSyrup]

Desperate times call for desperate measures, and while we can't say with any level of certainty that Microsoft Hardware engineers weren't toiling away on this laptop cooling stand back in the heyday that was 2005, we highly doubt that's the case. For whatever reason, Microsoft is boldly entering a new category of accessories with the introduction of the USB-powered Notebook Cooling Base, which sports a built-in fan and cooling channel to prevent overheating. The whole thing is just 1.16 inches thick, and there's even a cable management clip if you find yourself in need. In somewhat related news, we're also being greeted by a new Special Edition line of Arc Mouses (mice?), which arrive in frost white, eggplant purple, deep olive green and marine blue. As for pricing, you can expect the breezy pad to land this July for $29.95, while the critters are available later this month for $49.95 a pop.

Not digging the original red on Nokia's XpressMusic 5310? What in tarnation is the matter with you? All kidding aside, those who just love to be the oddball can rejoice in the fact that T-Mobile USA has picked up two new hues for the aforesaid handset, and it's not even charging any extra for 'em. Available now for the low, low price of $0.00 after a two-year agreement, the 5310 can be selected in White Aqua and White Silver. As expected, all the internals have remained the same, so now it's just up to your and that fellow on your shoulder to determine which variant is most suitable.[Via CellPhone signal]

While the Americanized version of Helio's Ocean 2 has gobs of red accents (thanks, Virgin Mobile!), many have wondered if an all black version would hit the scenes as well. Clearly, that answer is... well, maybe. A South Korean Helio page shows two variants of the newest Ocean, with one devoid of all those fiery accents. Obviously, we've no way to tell if this thing is ever coming to US soil, but this just might be the excuse you needed to hit up Seoul for an extended weekend.[Via MobileCrunch]

  • White BlackBerry Pearl Flip spotted on RIM slide

Up until now, RIM's first flip phone was available in exactly one shade. And in fact, it's still only being offered in the standard hue. But if the slide shown above is any indication of the future, we'd say it's a safe bet that a white BlackBerry Pearl Flip is on the horizon. The shot was taken at a company presentation on BES 5.0, though no suit made any mention the sore thumb. Fingers crossed!

MSI's Wind U120 just went on sale last month here in America, and already we're being presented with yet another hue from some other corner of the globe. The stark gray version looks to posses the very same innards as the white and black model already out, but externally, it's an entirely different animal. 'Tis a shame we haven't a clue where this is headed for release, but we'll put our bucks on somewhere not named USA -- at least at first.Update: Well, what have we here? It's on sale now at Amazon for $349.99.[Via Slashgear]

  • More PSP colo(u)rs releasing in the UK

    02.05.2009

The PSP-3000 is about to get a little more stylish with the introduction of three new colors for the UK region. Mystic Silver and Pearl White versions of the console will be made available in the UK this month, while the third color -- Radiant Red -- will be released at some point in March. Other European regions may or may not get these new colors; we've yet to confirm. Details are light and we haven't even been given solid release dates or images by SCEE. These colors are, however, available already in Japan. We've found some images of Pearl White and Mystic Silver (above) and Radiant Red (after the break).

We're not going to bother asking this here SPINN if it's headed to a funeral, but we will ask iriver if it has any plans on shipping an all black variant to the US of A. Currently, the only hue Americans can find is the tried and true silver, but based on a smattering of photographs posted on the Korean iriver forums, we get the feeling a dark, dark version is in the works for at least some sections of the globe. Let's all cross our fingers in unison and hope our homeland is included in that bunch, yeah?[Via DAP Review]

LG's Cookie -- which is more formally know as the KP501 -- has just arrived in two more hues on Europe's most colorful carrier. If black just wasn't doing it for you, the touchscreen handset (which obviously resembles the KP500 in more ways than one) is now listed as "Coming Soon" in pink and silver. If you believe Orange's press release, though, it should be available now in stores for £99.99 ($142) on a pay-as-you-go contract and just £15 ($21) with a two-year agreement.

  • Colorware gets ahold of BlackBerry Curve 8900

    01.26.2009

It was inevitable, really. RIM's BlackBerry Curve 8900 is now being offered up by the paint gun-wielding fools at Colorware, who will gladly ugly up your handset as you see fit. 'Course, you can put together a rather striking piece of work too, but make sure you get a second opinion on your dream color scheme before mashing the buy button. As for costs? A solid coat will run you a buck twenty-nine, but if you change up the top, bottom, frame or sides, you can count on that figure inching higher and higher.[Via CrackBerry]

If you're looking to sprinkle just a pinch of Mr. T into your life, there's hardly a better way than to pick up Sony Ericsson's forthcoming Sandy Gold W595. Reportedly, the only thing changing is the color, and Europeans enamored by that can get their jollies next February.

    12.14.2008

We're always down with new shades of old mobiles, and we're particularly find of new ones that bring along something extra. Nokia has just expanded its Supernova range with a Graphite and Passionate Purple Supernova 7610, 7510, 7310 and 7210. Each of the newcomers also brings along "enhanced services" that enable users to "share their images and video with friends through Ovi Share, as well as keep up to date with friends via Nokia Maps and instant messaging with Windows Live Messenger." There's no mention of pricing, so we'll go out a limb and assume they'll remain the same as the colors already available.

    12.09.2008

We understand that there's a snowstorm underway at HTC's website, but we're pretty darn confident that the HTC Touch Diamond there in the middle is white not from hours under the powder, but from a certain hue of paint. 'Course, it's no surprise to find that this beauty is real, but there's nothing quite like the sweet, sweet taste of official confirmation. Now, about a US release date...[Thanks, Robert]

LG's Vu hit and left the spotlight in the blink of an eye earlier this year, but now AT&T's looking to rejuvenate interest in the Mobile TV-enabled handset by bringing it back out in a new wine hue. At least, that's the good word coming from the Boy Genius. Reportedly, the new version (model number 920 versus the old 915) will also boast MediaFLO and a number of assorted bug fixes, and while there's no expected date of arrival mentioned, it should ring up at right around $100 whenever it lands.

MSI's got a fever, and evidently the only cure is more notebook. With the novelty of the heralded Wind slowly fading, the outfit has stepped in with the altogether riveting VW220 YA Edition ultraportable -- and in four delightful hues, no less. Aside from sporting a Denim Blue, Coral Pink, Wasabi Green or Empire Black exterior, the 12.1-incher also includes a WXGA (1,280 x 800) panel, dual-core Pentium CPU, Intel's GMA 4500M graphics set, up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM, dual stereo speakers, gigabit Ethernet, an optional TV tuner, WiFi / Bluetooth, a 3-in-1 card reader, VGA output and three USB 2.0 ports. You'll also find a SuperMulti DVD drive, a capacious 250GB hard drive, a ho hum 1.3-megapixel webcam and an 8-cell battery. All told, the 4-pound rig looks pretty good on paper for just $699.99, and the full release is after the break for your perusal.

Not sure what exactly was so wrong with Blah Blah Black, Silver Tongue and Goldy Lips, but for those not really turned on by any of the aforementioned hues, you should probably set your navigator to the nearest Best Buy. Aliph has just introduced two new colors in the Jawbone family -- Babbling Blue and Rambling Rosé (shown after the break) -- which will be offered up exclusively at Best Buy Mobile. Same heralded Bluetooth headset, same $139.99 price tag -- just with two new tints.

It's an HTC Touch Diamond. And it's white. Must be a white HTC Touch Diamond! Right on cue, HTC's lavishly colored Touch Diamond has surfaced in the wild, and reportedly, it'll be on sale soon in the Netherlands (among other places). We're also directed to an interesting "Pimp My Diamond" website, which will seemingly enable any Touch Diamond owner to snap on a new shell to fit their mood. Wait, does that mean the white one isn't so special anymore? For shame...[Via coolsmartphone]Read - White Touch Diamond in the wildRead - Pimp My Diamond website
