Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked on 3DS has a few game-breaking issues buried within its European version, which launched on March 29, developer Ghostlight announced."The game will hang/freeze if you summon a demon during battle or if an auction house seller lies about the stats," Ghostlight wrote on its blog. "These problems mean that currently you will experience difficulties that may prevent you from completing the game. Currently we are doing everything we can to fix these problems as quickly as possible so that you will be able to enjoy DSO in full."Ghostlight is working with publisher Atlus and Nintendo on getting a patch out. Devil Survivor Overclocked was originally scheduled to launch in the EU on April 5, but was pushed up to March 29. The US and Japanese versions of Devil Survivor Overclocked hit in fall 2011.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Atlus's enhanced 3DS port of the DS Devil Survivor, will be available to North American gamers eager to jump back into demon-filled Tokyo this summer. Atlus announced the release window today and sent out new screenshots, which you can enjoy in our gallery. Overclocked includes everything from the DS game -- about a group of Tokyo residents attempting to stop demons from invading the city through interdimensional rifts, before everyone dies -- with an extra eighth day added to everyone's projected lifespan, and voice acting added throughout.%Gallery-115113%

  • 3DS 'launch window' to include more than 30 games leading up to E3

Did you hear? It's got a built-in pedometer! The 3DS measures your steps as you walk -- right there in your pocket! Even better: You can pull the thing out whenever and snap all kinds of pics -- the thing's got three cameras! And get this: It also pipes out music, browses the internet and even plays games. True, you've already got a pile of old DS games (and now defunct DS devices) that you could be playing on your new pedometer, but more than 30 three-DEE titles are expected to be released during the 3DS "launch window" (which begins March 27 and promptly closes on June 7 with the start of E3). We've listed 24 of the apparent launch-window releases after the break (though Nintendo's being coy about exact dates), including Nintendo's own Nintendogs + cats and Pilotwings Resort, plus a hearty helping of third-party support; with notable newcomers, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked (previously unannounced outside of Japan) and Crush 3D, a possible port of the 2007 PSP platforming puzzler from Sega. Don't look at the date ambiguity in dismay -- see it as an opportunity! Beginning in late March, you can walk to and from GameStop in anticipation of a new batch of games each Tuesday for ten whole weeks, and the 3DS will count your steps -- each and every one of them! And just imagine how many Street Passes you're going to rack up?

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor is one of the best unsung RPGs on Nintendo's current-gen handheld -- which might have something to do with the fact that it's not the easiest game to find in stores. Fortunately, our chances of getting the hands on the game will likely improve later this year, when Atlus releases Devil Survivor Over Clock, a 3DS update of the original 2009 title, in Japan. In addition to a couple of extra titular words and a third dimension, Over Clock will expand the game's seven-day-long plotline by an additional day. This extra 24-hour period includes 20 new summonable demons, new maps and additional difficulties. The game will also now be fully voiced this time around, which should make some of its more over-the-top dialogue infinitely more entertaining. An Atlus representative remained tight-lipped when we asked about the game's U.S. release plans, but we've got our fingers crossed for news on the horizon. For now, check out Famitsu for a handful of screens from the spruced-up 3D RPG.
