What better way to use an old G5 tower than to grab a panel from the old machine and toss it into a homemade clock? This unique wall piece was created by Flickr user Chris Sasse, who uses the clock to tick off the hours in his office.

We often laud our smartphones and tablets for being thin, but we often forget that monitor technology has seen perhaps the greatest slim down in recent years. Case in point -- take a look at this vintage 20-inch Apple monitor fired up and photographed by Ken Fager. As much as you may love vintage tech, you have to admit this one is a beast!! So much casing to support what is now considered to be a small screen. Gotta love the fact that the monitor still works after all these years, though. It's got all the three Bs -- big, beautiful and built to last.

As captured by Flickr member Sam, Rex obviously is pleased with his new nerdy sticker from Steekly, but what else is he watching on his Mac that is making him grin with that great big dino smile. The finer moments in Jurassic Park, maybe? Did you know that TUAW has a Flickr pool? And that we encourage readers to submit their own Apple related images? Darth Vader threatens to cut the power supply for Yoda's mighty iPhone slab, while the Jedi master calmly looks on in this Lego minifig scene created by Flickr member Jim Petcoff. This lovely photograph from James Rose captures the size and scale of Apple's only digital camera line. Built by Kodak, the QuickTake 100 was introduced twenty-years ago by Apple and was one of the first consumer digital cameras ever released. It cost $749 when it first went on sale in 1994. The QuickTake 100 was the first generation QuickTake model with support for eight photos at 640 x 480 resolution or 16 photos at 320 x 340. It was a minimal product with no manual focus, no zoom and a basic flash. The 100 series was succeeded by the QuickTake 150 in 1995 and QuickTake 200 in 1996 Apple's foray into the consumer camera market was short, ending in 1997 after Steve Jobs returned to lead the then struggling company. Similar to the Apple Newton, the QuickTake is now a collector's item sought after by Apple enthusiasts. Did you know that TUAW has a Flickr pool? Flickr member Charis Tsevis created a mesmeric mosaic portrait of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs as part of Steve Jobs month on Typorn. In order "to emulate the original Mac look'n'feel", the portrait is deliberately black and white and is composed of Susan Kare's classic Mac typefaces -- Monaco, Geneva and Chicago. You can read more about Steve Jobs and fonts on Typorn, and check out Tsevis' Flickr page for a few more portraits. Did you know that TUAW has a Flickr pool? At first glance, this minimal iMac setup from Philip Pryke looks ordinary, but it isn't until you glance behind the CNC plywood desk that some clever engineering comes to light. Fashioned into the desktop is a groove that fits the base of the iMac, holding it in place and allowing the computer to slide back and forth along the back of the desk. That's why it is nice to see this desk from Ren Jinshen Ryu, who accents his menagerie of metallic products with a splash of red. You can check out a few more shots of his setup on Flickr. When you look in someone's driveway, you will likely find a car, a motorcycle or perhaps some random bicycles from the children who live inside. Blake Patterson, though, has a much more unusual driveway, one that is littered with Mac hardware. And not just any make hardware -- splayed on his concrete is THE "Mark Twain" Apple IIgs prototype. According to Patterson, the rare IIgs prototype is part of Tony Diaz's traveling Apple II road show. Did you know that TUAW has a Flickr pool? You have to be just a tad bit jealous of Travis Isaacs and his Mac setup. Not only does he have a gorgeous Thunderbolt display mounted to his desk and connected to his MacBook Pro, he also has a lovely desk that is juxtaposed with art work featuring the Roman Colosseum and some SXSW swag. It's a refined setup that nicely balances the old with new. Did you know that TUAW has a Flickr pool? And that we encourage readers to submit their own Apple related images? Hobby photographer Jim Petcoff takes some stunning nature photos, but one of his best indoor shots is the above grab of his Mac-powered desk setup. With a retina MacBook Pro, a Thunderbolt display and a third Samsung monitor to round things out, the solid wooden desk has a cockpit-like appearance. While the bright monitors dominate the shot, there are few other goodies in the shot such as an iPad front and center, a Mac mini tucked in behind the scenes and a few Apple keyboard and track pad accessories kicking around. As much as I love my MacBook and its wonderful keyboard, I would gladly trade it to get some typing time on this vintage Corona typewriter. Until, of course, I made my first typo and had to live with the error or correct it manually and sadly produce a document with obvious blemishes.
