Whether playing WoW while intoxicated, tired or simply under the weather, we all make mistakes. We vendor items we didn't mean to vendor, we destroy quest items thinking they're trash; it happens to everyone, sooner or later. One of my least favourite things to do is accidental disenchantment. It sounds hard - after all, you have to click on the Disenchant skill, then an item you're probably wearing - but after disenchanting several items in a row and then deciding to enchant a worn item, it's all too easy to click Disenchant by mistake. This happened to me, yesterday, for the second time; I disenchanted my tier 0.5 bracers rather than giving them a stamina enchant.Should this happen to you, don't worry -- it's not the end of the world. You can get the item restored, though the European GM I spoke to warned me that this process was only available once per account. Knowing that I'll be getting some better gear very soon, I decided not to choose this option, but since the tier 0.5 quests are non-repeatable I'm stuck in tier 0 for the time being. I'm happy it was only the bracers, which are blue, and not any of my epic items -- I'd have a hard time deciding whether epics today were more or less valuable than epics I might get tomorrow.Have you ever danced the disenchant tango? Had any other moments of regret? All I've learnt from this story is to install a "safe disenchanter" addon, and to be doubly careful when playing late at night.

Questions are frequently asked on the official forums that only receive a response saying that it's an issue that needs to be reported to a GM in-game rather than on the forums.  Well, now people have a place to ask such questions on the forums, where everyone can see them - the customer service forum.  The forum is frequented by Blizzard GMs and is littered with official Blizzard responses.  There are already some helpful sticky posts here - one listing solutions to common problems and another displaying this week's most common issues.  Technical issues should still posted about in the technical support forum (or the Mac technical support forum) and the bug report forum remains the best place to report specific bugs, but the customer service forum provides a place to discuss in-game issues that are not technical in nature.

Over at Something Awful, an alleged ex-Blizzard Europe GM is answering questions from the fray on what it's really like behind the curtain. From 25-year accounts to GM Island, there are some interesting questions and answers on the front page, although you'll have to subscribe to Something Awful if you want to read the entire thread.GMs don't speak out frequently about their jobs, but it can be a thankless task. From newbie questions to insults and petty disputes, the GMs have to put up with a lot from us; but without them the world would run much less smoothly. Yesterday was France's Labour Day, meaning that no GM tickets were available, so I dread to think what they will be deluged with this morning. There's more about the life of a GM on the WoW website; Blizzard are often recruiting, if this sounds like a dream job. Of course, there are other ways of getting paid to play WoW![Via AFK Gamer]

If you, like me, have a lifelong dream to play video games & get paid for it, then you may be interested to know that Blizzard is currently looking for experienced players to be WoW Game Masters (or, Customer Service Representatives, as the official title goes). The job is full time, on-site at their Irvine, California offices, so if you live in the area & are interested, visit this link for more information on how to apply.I'm not sure I could ever be a GM; I get enough people complaining & making me feel guilty before I even log onto the game...I don't need it there, too.

Ever died and woken up somewhere... else? AFK Gamer describes a strange bug in which death in Silithus meant becoming a ghost in Westfall--now that's a corpse run and a half.I've experienced something similar, randomly arriving in the Barrens after a death in Tanaris.. another time I died in Hillsbrad and stayed dead, the game refusing point-blank to bring me to life for any price. Somehow bugs involving death are the most frustrating, thanks to the limited number of things you can do when dead. Ever experienced any of these bugs? How did it turn out?

You still suck? I still get a chuckle when I see this post over in the forums. People are putting up some of the funny things they have seen GMs say to them. It is nice to see that some of the GMs can provide a little humor and brevity to what is most likely a frustrating situation for a player. I have yet to even see a GM in the game, even though I have opened several tickets on Bloodhoof. Have you guys had any funny GM experiences?
