Though you and my normal band of enablers are welcome to come quest at the same time, I will be in my own group in the hopes that any "collect 10 Yeti bellybuttons" quests will go a bit more quickly. Since I stop to read the quests out loud, fall into crevices, get lost when I have no one to follow, etc., questers beginning when I do should be way ahead of me by the time I actually make it to the quest area. We, the unliving, are marching to Stormwind to protest the living's continued insistence on remaining alive. We begin in Deathknell and will end at the human capital. Robinemia is weary of humans and their constant taunting of the Forsaken with their insistence on living. So she is staging a protest Saturday night. When: Saturday, July 30 at 11 p.m. EDT (8 p.m. PDT, 9 p.m. server time) Where: Deathknell (Forsaken starter town) on Zangarmarsh (US-PVE-H) Who: Forsaken only, any level (I suppose death knights can come, too.) What: March to Stormwind How: Ask Robinemia or any It came from the Blog member for an invite, if you do not already belong to one of our guilds. If you are on a trial account, just tag along. Motto: Protest the living! This is not a PVP event, though our unlives may be in danger since we will be entering enemy territory. This is just a peaceful protest march to which all of the undead are invited to participate. If you do not have an active U.S. account; you can sign up for the trial and add to the body count. (You just won't be able to join a raid or talk in our in-game event chat.) As usual, I will be streaming the event. It came from the Blog: Midsummer Flamefest 2011 snapshots
Last Saturday, It came from the Blog set fire to the Eastern Kingdoms for this year's Midsummer Flamefest. We started off in Silvermoon City with a party, then continued south through the continent until we reached Ironforge -- where we met our deaths. We honored or extinguished all of the fires in blood elf lands and Forsaken lands. We even bopped over to the Western Plaguelands, since it was right there. /point There is no longer a flame to desecrate if you are Horde in Hillsbrad, so our first Alliance flame was Refuge Pointe in Arathi. We also got the ones in Menethil, Thelsamar and Khaz Modan. We didn't meet very much Alliance resistance until we got to Ironforge, but there, the Allies made up for it. A widdle gnome mage took me down several times, when the dwarven guards didn't get me themselves. Regardless, the event was tons of fun. I didn't manage to get pictures of my many pathetic deaths, but they are all caught on video. You can see the gallery of flame below. We have events at least once every month. It's that time of year again, when It came from the Blog sets fire to the Azeroth countryside. When: Saturday, June 25 at noon EDT (9 a.m. PDT, 10 a.m. server time) for the pre-event gathering and 12:30 p.m. EDT for the actual event Where: Meet at the flame in Silvermoon City on Zangarmarsh (US-PVE-H) Who: Any level Horde player How: Ask any member of It came from the Blog for an invite, if you are not already in one of our family of guilds. What: Flames. Duh. This is an all-levels event that will begin with a party and end in guaranteed death. So bring your party gear and keep your shiny armor in the bank. Last year, we had two epic flame related events. We sauntered around the Eastern Kingdoms for Flamefest 2010 and we also flamed Kalimdor during the Server Maintenance Party. Hundreds of people showed up for the latter, which was fun and terrifying at the same time. I don't expect anywhere near that many this year, but the more the merrier. We have yet to crash the server and have room for hundreds in our event guild. I will be streaming the event as usual, so if you can't join us on Zangarmarsh, you can watch the video. Please join us! Join It came from the Blog and The Insiders this Saturday for a party at the World's End Tavern in Shattrath. We will have refreshments, do a little dancing and play party games of my devising. Unlike most of our events, transportation will be provided for all those unable to get there on their own power. As with most of our events, I will be streaming the festivities. Join us this Saturday for the Hop to Hard Boiled! As the title implies, we'll be hopping to Un'Goro Crater together for the achievement. When: Saturday, April 30, at 5:30 p.m. EDT (2:30 p.m. PDT, 3:30 server time) for the pre-event mixer and 6 p.m. EDT for the Hop Where: Meet at Razor Hill on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE-H) Who: This is an all-level event, but you'll be hoppier happier if you are higher level. We will be meeting in Razor Hill to mingle and fight over eggs, and then setting off cross continent, braving dangers and probably getting pretty soggy. Anyone from the Alliance is welcome to join us on the hop. You can meet us at Honor Stand, where unfortunately, we'll have to kill your soldiers to protect our lowbies -- but hopefully, you'll forgive us. Otherwise, there is no reason why we can't forget our factions for the day and travel together to lay eggs side by side to celebrate this extremely silly holiday.
