What we're watching: Tonight we find out who is the winner of this season's HD Dancing With The Stars, Emmitt Smith or Mario Lopez. The tension around the Engadget HD headquarters is palpable. If that weren't enough, we've got two different two hour season premieres lined up. Day Break, starring Taye Diggs, is a Groundhog's Day-style show about a man forced to live the same day over and over again. Medium returns with its own two hour block on NBC.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: The nightly news is finally in HD, with HDNet's Dan Rather Reports. We're sure the blogosphere will be tuned in, waiting for the first "fact". Also new tonight is the game show Show Me the Money, we have no idea what it's about, but hopefully it lasts longer than The Rich List did.Update: Also in HD and premiering tonight is 3 Lbs on CBS, about surgeons, but not Grey's Anatomy, the main characters are men. Also, Show Me the Money was not in HD despite ABC's website indicating it would be, not to mention the Dancing With the Stars finale. We are still awaiting confirmation that Dan Rather Reports actually in fact featured Dan Rather and not just some guy named Dan.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

We'll get back to you on that later, Return of the Jedi is on, but we'll probably take a break to check out the Chicago Bears vs. the New York Giants later. BSG fans can check out last season's Resurrection Ship episodes in high definition on Universal HD.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Sorry if we're not too enthused by the prospect of seeing Texas at Kansas State or Wake Forest at Florida State on ABC tonight, but we'll probably keep watching Star Wars on Cinemax. SEC football is on display on ESPN-HD and ESPN2-HD, plus NHL on HDNet, and NBA action on INHD. Finally, HBO has a heavyweight boxing matching between Klitschko and Brock. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

Cinemax is bringing home all six Star Wars movies in high definition back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back, starting at midnight tonight. If you miss one don't worry, they will be repeating and also are available in many areas in HD on video-on-demand. Otherwise, this is the first time to catch all three original flicks formatted for your HDTV, if you'd like to avoid Jar-Jar Binks in 1080i, take a nap and catch Episode IV: A New Hope at 7:10 AM on Saturday.

What we're watching: The only thing odder than a Big East game with National Championship implications is another Big East game with National Championship implications as undefeated Rutgers faces undefeated Louisville on ESPN-HD. There's good NHL and NBA action to be had but two undefeateds facing this late in the season is definitely worth watching...even if one of them is Rutgers. With Salma Hayek guest starring on Ugly Betty we'll be sure to keep an eye on that as well. Our traditional high definition listings continue below.

What we're watching: The Pistons face Ron Artest for the first time since that huge fight at the Palace a couple years ago, as part of a doubleheader after the Suns vs. Spurs game on ESPN-HD. Of course, The O.C. is back on Fox, not to mention the last episode of Lost for a while, so we may have to flip back and forth a bit.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Studio 60 is back on NBC...is it cancelled, not-cancelled? Who knows, but if you like it, watch it, you may not be able to do that for much longer. One show thats not going anywhere is its lead-in Heroes, joined tonight by the Country Music Awards on ABC in 720p and 5.1 surround -- we'll give it a look. The Raiders have gotten a couple of wins to bring them to respectable-loser status, and facing a Seattle team without its starting QB and running back Monday Night Football could get interesting. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: The Colts face the Patriots on Sunday Night Football and since it's a regular season game, the Colts actually have a chance to win. What we're watching: Sports fans have college football, NHL, and NBA action to choose from tonight, Roseanne Barr is on HBO in her first comedy special in 10 years and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is on Cinemax...but we won't be watching any of it. Tonight is the premiere of HDNet's coverage of CEDIA 2006. We brought plenty of pictures and descriptions of the show but now you can watch all that HD equipment...in HD, you might even catch a glimpse of our own Matt Burns on the premises. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Nice to have our usual complement of new programming back now that the World Series is over. Also returning tonight is The O.C. with its season premiere...c'mon now you know you watch. In other Fox-related news, it appears we missed the premiere of The Rich List game show last night, but the site indicates it was in 720p, unlike most SD game shows (but not Jeopardy). Two good Western conference NBA games on TNT make us lad basketball is back. Finally, tonight are the words many college football fans never expected to hear: Thursday night Big East matchup with National Championship Game implications. West Virginia vs. Louisville is one of the biggest games this season, we'll be watching. Our traditional high definition listings continue below.

What we're watching: NBA action continues, after the NBA champs got blown out last night King James steps up as the Cavaliers face the Wizards and the Suns return to take on the Clippers. Sure there's Lost, CSI: NY, Jericho and the surprisingly funny 30 Rock, but we just can't get enough basketball on ESPN-HD. Still, take a look at Twenty Good Years tonight, because it might be your next-to-last chance. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Sure Dancing with the Stars, NCIS, Standoff and Gilmore Girls are all on tonight, but we know what we're watching. The NBA regular season is back, with a doubleheader of Heat vs. Bulls and Lakers vs. Suns. Sure it's not an all-skycam broadcast but Shaq, the real Big Ben, D-Wade, the reigning two-time MVP Steve Nash and (maybe) Kobe in 1080i? We're there, new ball and all.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Friday Night Lights has swapped places with Studio 60 on Monday nights, so we'll see how that works out for NBC. Monday Night Football should be a good matchup as the Patriots visit the Vikings or there's always The 40-Year-Old Virgin on Cinemax. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Baseball playoffs and Discovery HD Atlas are both done, although you can catch a re-run of the last episode of Atlas featuring Australia on Discovery HD Theater today. The Tony Romo era begins tonight as the Cowboys take on the Carolina Panthers on Sunday Night Football...it should be interesting to say the least. There's also college football on ESPN and MLS on HDNet, but we'll probably just check out The People Under the Stairs on Universal HD.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: There's an excellent college football matchup on tonight between Tennessee and South Carolina on ESPN-HD, but many will probably take a break and catch Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on ABC tonight. Kidnapped continues its lame-duck run on NBC while HDNet sees fit to bring us Deliverance. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.
