  • Humble Weekly Sale collects Galaxy on Fire 2, Jagged Alliance series

    The latest Humble Weekly Sale spotlights publisher bitComposer Games, offering a range of classic and modern releases from the Jagged Alliance series, among other featured games. The bundle includes the iPad-ported space exploration game Galaxy on Fire 2, World War II flight sim Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers rail shooter Thunder Wolves, and the DRM-free compilation Jagged Alliance Classics, which includes Madlab Software's 1994 tactical RPG Jagged Alliance, the follow-ups Jagged Alliance 2 and Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games, and the standalone expansion Jagged Alliance 2: Unfinished Business. Pay more than $6 for the package and you'll also get Coreplay's 2012 series revival Jagged Alliance: Crossfire, as well as the historical strategy game Expeditions: Conquistador. The collection will remain available through November 21.

    German developer and publisher Daedalic is a giant in the adventure game genre, but this week eight of its games are going for a tiny price in the Humble Weekly Sale. Get Edna and Harvey: Harvey's New Eyes, A New Beginning: Final Cut, The Whispered World, The Chronicles of Shakespeare: Romeo and Juliet and The Chronicles of Shakespeare: A Midsummer's Night Dream for whatever amount you want to pay ($1 or more gets Steam keys for eligible games). Add Deponia, Journey of a Roach and The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav for $6 or more. Anyone who gets in on the Humble Weekly bundle also gets the documentary An Inconvenient Game, and some digital and printable art from Daedalic's games. Check out the lineup here.

On sale for $1 or more are Worms Armageddon, Worms Blast, Worms Ultimate Mayhem, Worms Pinball, Worms Crazy Golf and Superfrog HD, plus most of their soundtracks. Pay $6 or more and get Alien Breed: Impact, Alien Breed 2: Assault, Alien Breed 3: Descent and Worms Revolution Gold with all of its DLC. All of these games are available only on Steam and sales go to a mix of charity, the developers and Humble Bundle, however you choose.

    Indie developer Cipher Prime headlines the latest Humble Weekly Sale, serving up a varied collection of synaesthetic puzzlers and shooters for a buyer-chosen price. The bundle includes Cipher Prime's kaleidoscopic Android action game Pulse: Volume One, along with the multiplatform puzzlers Splice and Fractal: Make Blooms Not War. Pay more than $6 for the set and you'll also receive the music-driven puzzle game Auditorium and the "retro-futuristic drugstep arcade shooter" Intake, which makes its Windows and Mac debut as part of the collection.

    The latest Humble Weekly Sale serves up a pay-what-you-want collection of games from publisher Focus Home Interactive, headlined by the medieval fantasy RPG Game of Thrones and metropolis construction game Cities XL Platinum. Other bundled games include the orcish football sim Blood Bowl: Legendary Edition, real-time strategy game Confrontation, and the action-RPGs Divinity II: Developer's Cut and R.A.W. Realms of Ancient War. Generous buyers who beat the bundle's average purchase price (currently $6) will also get the World War II-themed RTS Wargame: European Escalation and point-and-click adventure game The Testament of Sherlock Holmes. The Focus Home Interactive bundle will remain available through October 17.

    This week's Humble Weekly Sale collects just about every remake, sequel, and spinoff in Croteam's Serious Sam series as a pay-what-you-want compilation for Windows, Mac, and Linux. The bundle's core package includes the unapologetically arcadey first-person shooters Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter and Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter, along with a rarely-seen public test version of the original Serious Sam. Also included are Vlambeer's turn-based RPG Serious Sam: The Random Encounter, Mommy's Best Games' gun-stacking side-scroller Serious Sam Double D, and Be-Rad Entertainment's autoscrolling platformer Serious Sam: Kamikaze Attack.     Downtrodden horror author Alan Wake stars in the latest Humble Weekly Sale, which offers up downloadable Windows versions of Remedy's third-person shooter Alan Wake and its follow-up American Nightmare for a buyer-chosen price (minimum $1). Bundle buyers will receive DRM-free downloads of Alan Wake: Collector's Edition and Alan Wake's American Nightmare, along with Steam keys for both games. The package features a bevy of bonus material, including digital comic books, a playthrough video, and standalone episodes of the Remedy-produced "Night Springs" fictional television series – new episodes of which Joystiq debuted last year. Xbox Live hosts its own Alan Wake series sale this week. Through May 29, the Xbox 360 Games on Demand version of Alan Wake is priced at 400 Microsoft points ($5), while the Xbox Live Arcade follow-up American Nightmare is a dollar cheaper at 320 points. Alan Wake DLC and avatar items are also on sale through next week. In the announcement video above, Remedy's Sam Lake (who you might recognize as Max Payne's face model) reveals that the Alan Wake series has sold over three million units to date, and addresses fan reaction to the company's decision to develop the upcoming Xbox One-exclusive title Quantum Break, rather than an Alan Wake sequel. "We definitely want to keep on working on Alan Wake," Lake assures. "I definitely want to create something new for Alan Wake, when the time is right."

Pay more than $1 to get Flotilla, Atom Zombie Smasher and Air Forte, or pay above the average asking price (currently around $4) to add Thirty Flights of Loving to that list.Buying a bundle includes the soundtracks for Atom Zombie Smasher, Air Forte and Thirty Flights of Loving, as long as the appropriate price is hit. The purchase price is divvied up among charity, the Humble Bundle or the developer, as with all Humble purchases. These Blendo Games games (games) will be available on the Humble Store for six more days, so go mix it up while you still can.

It's like a Steam sale, but without the risk of accidentally buying a dozen other games because they're right there and hey, that really is a great price. This week the Humble store has Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 for PC and Linux, and Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad GOTY for PC, available for $1 or more. Pay more than the average (currently less than $3) and also grab Killing Floor and some of its DLC.As with all Humble purchases, the money goes to charities Child's Play and the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the developers and the Humble store itself, in whichever breakdown you choose. Each game also comes with its original soundtrack, at no extra charge. Unless you decide you want one.The Humble Mobile Bundle sale is also live now for one more week, featuring Android games Contre Jour, Anomaly Korea, Plants vs. Zombies, Bladeslinger, locked games Metal Slug 3 and The Room, and three new additions: Funky Smugglers, Raiden Legacy and Another World. Pay more than the average to get those last five goodies.
