One Shots: Off to find treats!
We sent out a call for some Holiday snaps, in case anyone would like to pass along holiday greetings. Only a few have taken us up on it, but we'll be featuring them over the next few days! (There's still time to send in a holiday snap if you'd like to join the fun, by the way.) Today's World of Warcraft holiday snap comes from Johanis, who sent this in with the following note: Here is Johanis (in his Christmas disguise) flying out of Stormwind on his way to completing the annual Gingerbread and Milk quest for Greatfather Winter. We can only imagine Greatfather Winter has a tummyache from all the holiday treats he's been eating, since there are 11 million World of Warcraft players worldwide. One Shots: Not indigenous to the wastes
I've seen these friendly little pets popping up all over the place lately, but I think this is one of the first times I've seen a Penguin wandering around the Blasted Lands. Today's World of Warcraft One Shots shows off a recent, but regular contributor, Johanis, spending some time near the Dark Portal. He writes: Johanis (in Christmas disguise) visiting Nethergarde Keep from the old World of Warcraft territory. Just taking the newly aquired Penguin pet out for a little walk in the red wastelands. I certainly hope the little guy did okay in the scorched landscape - they're not known for being good in heat. One Shots: Wyrmrest Temple
The biting chill of the frosty Northrend air sears the lungs of all but the hardiest of adventurers. Today's World of Warcraft One Shots sent to us from Johanis shows one such worldly soul, standing patiently in the frozen wastes just outside of the ancient Dragonflight meeting spot at Wyrmrest Temple. Who or what he was waiting for, we're not sure, but we'd guess that it's probably a group to party up and go in pursuit of some of the sweet, sweet loot Northrend instances have to offer! Have you taken a picturesque shot of your favorite character that you'd like to show off? If so, we'd love to see it. One Shots: Flowers in the snow
As the last month of the year starts, we embrace the cold, dark and snowy months, and dream of Spring, when we'll see the blossoms again. Of course, if you're playing World of Warcraft's Wrath of the Lich King expansion, you can enjoy flowers in the snow. If you look closely at the lovely trees in the full-size version of this screenshot, you'll notice they're actually lovely six-petaled flowers. Whether or not they're white or just covered in some type of magical Narnia-esque snow, we can't say for sure. Johanis sent this lovely image in for us to enjoy, and writes: This is a pic of Johanis exploring Lake Indu'le area on a snowy day. Hard to want to leave a spot like this... We totally agree.
