    Spotify will revise artist behavior policy following backlash

    Spotify may already have to backtrack on its policy limiting promotion for artists based on their conduct. Bloomberg sources have heard that it will alter the conduct policy in response to an uproar over its decision to pull XXXTentacion's music from playlists for his behavior, including charges for allegedly beating a pregnant woman. Artists like Kendrick Lamar reportedly called Spotify chief Daniel Ek and artist relations head Troy Carter to not only show their displeasure, but to threaten to pull their music from the service if it didn't make changes.

    You've likely heard of big-name musicians banning smartphones at concerts, but Kendrick Lamar is taking things one step further. The superstar isn't allowing any cameras during the European stint of his latest tour, including pro photographers. Yes, you won't even have the opportunity to share official shots, let alone record the show with your phone. Lamar had allowed some pros during his North American gigs, but that's apparently as far as he was willing to go.

    Kendrick Lamar releases a new album in response to tweets

    Twitter can apparently be used for more than just mischief making, activism and unexpected beefs, as it appears LeBron James managed to coax a new album out of rapper Kendrick Lamar. SBNation notes that the NBA star tweeted at TDE label head Anthony Tiffith after seeing the performance at this year' s Grammy awards (pictured above), asking for the release of Lamar's unreleased tracks . Fast forward a couple of weeks, and the eight-track album untitled unmastered. has just appeared on iTunes, Google Play, Tidal and Spotify.
