Borderlands 3 is achingly familiar. It's as if Gearbox distilled the grimy, viscous essence of Borderlands into a crisp new game highlighting the core aspects of the franchise, battle royale be damned. As most studios are focused on adding online multiplayer modes and social features galore to their games, Gearbox is going back to basics. When it comes out on September 13th, Borderlands 3 will have four-player online co-op, and it'll also support local, split-screen multiplayer for up to two people. It has more than 1 billion guns, comic-book-inspired visuals, new narrative arcs with famous in-game folks, customizable skill trees and heaps of enemies to mow down. Perhaps most importantly, every scene is dripping with crass sarcasm.

Push Me Pull You is a wrestling game mashed up with a ball game and presented in four-player local co-op, with two players controlling one snake-like, two-headed humanoid creature. Maybe we're better off letting Australian developer House House describe it: "Connected at the waist, you and your partner must use a shared body to wrap, writhe, and wrestle the ball into your half of the court. Love each other, work together, communicate and coordinate, and prove that a good friendship can overcome anything (unless you find yourself up against an even better friendship!). It's a bit like a big hug, or playing soccer with your small intestines. With every action affecting both you and your partner (and lots of shouting at each other) PMPY combines the best parts of 2v2 local multiplayer with the worst parts of your last breakup." That's ... better. Push Me Pull You is due out in 2014 for PC, Mac and Linux, for all your wrestling, hoarding, friendship and breakup needs. Sunday isn't the typical time to hunker down and download fresh content with consoles, but Resogun will defy societal norms tomorrow with an update that adds local co-op and a Ship Editor. Perhaps you can forgive the abnormal launch date due to the update's lack of a price tag? Come on, it's even a day ahead of its previously-planned June 23 release! According to the PlayStation Blog, the Ship Editor allows for more than just palette-swapping paint jobs – pilots will be able to create their dream human-saving craft, down to the positioning of weaponry, afterburners and setting "attributes to govern the ship's agility, boost and overdrive, and choose either of the standard weapon sets." Non-creative types can just wait for the Resogun community to build the inevitable Nyan Cat-shaped vehicle and download it for themselves, thanks to support for sharing builds online. If the addition of local co-op isn't enough of a reason to play with new (or downloaded) creations, the free update will add a few new trophies to chase. You can always burn time climbing your way back up the leaderboards, too – the related post notes that due to players finding exploits, the update will reset leaderboards in addition to patching a few of those up. As great as free content is, the Heroes expansion for Resogun is still launching on June 24, offering Survival and Demolition modes for $5. [Image: Housemarque]
