24 hours of Tabula Rasa: Hour 17
Are you guys still here? Oh right, you are, because it's now our second day here on Massively, and yet our 24 hours of Tabula Rasa contests roll on.Did you know that Tabula Rasa isn't just a game? Oh no, it's a whole thesis (Latin: Blank Slate), and it means that humans are born with no innate knowledge, and that everything we know and think, we receive from the world we grow up in. Heavy. Also, it's the title of a great Lost episode (the one with the first Kate flashback), and so I took that fact as an excuse to post a picture of Evangeline Lilly. Hi, Kate!Anyway, contest! This one's good -- we're giving away an NCsoft digital voice recorder (whoah, just like Ben uses to contact Juliet on Lost! It all fits!), a poster, and another one of our ever popular oversized game boxes. 24 hours of Tabula Rasa: Hour 16
I can barely remember my short time in the Tabula Rasa beta, but I do remember something about aliens giving you super powers, and being a little unhappy about the fact that even though I had a gun and I was shooting at aliens, I wasn't able to headshot them.Anyway, it's now 11pm, and time for another one of our TR launch contests. This hour, we've got a hat and two posters to give away, so to enter, just be 18 and in the US (official rules) and put a comment on this post telling us the feature of Tabula Rasa you're most looking forward to. Aliens giving you super powers might be in there, although no headshots probably won't be. Of course, your answer doesn't actually matter (this is a random contest, and we'll randomly choose three winners from all the comments), but if you want to pretend like it does, we won't be bothered. Go hog wild.This contest shuts off at midnight, so hurry up and get those comments down. Guess what we've got to give away next in our launch day extravaganza? No really, go ahead, guess. Nope, not an iPod, we're already giving away one of those right now. No! Not one of those -- where would we get one of those things at this time of night?Nope, we're giving away a free copy of Tabula Rasa (!), a poster of that exact same game, and... (wait for it) an oversized game box! Since Massively and Tabula Rasa share the same birthday, we decided we had to celebrate big. Plus, when we toured their offices recently, NCsoft inundated us with such a mountainous pile of schwag that we needed a shopping cart to even get it out to the car -- and we're giving all of it to you.
