Those lovable scamps from Mega64 are at it again, bringing their own brand of humor to everyone's favorite river-fording, axle-busting game, Oregon Trail. We won't try to break down the comedy of this latest vignette, but will instead offer that everyone in this video is crazy for not trading bacon. Seriously, who doesn't like bacon? Robots?Head past the break to catch the troupe's latest.[Thanks, Chris!]

We thought you guys really nailed it before, but the team from Mega64 has their own take on the mysterious Kojima teaser campaign. The final, final answer involves hammerhead sharks, twisters and Master Chief. Yeah, it's all very technical. Now that the guys of Mega64 have cracked it, can we give the poor Kojima code a break from cracks? Look at the poor thing, it's like a plumbers convention.... Thanks, we'll be here all week. Try the veal.

We were worried about what kind of horrors Shadow of the Colossus would be subjected to by the movie industry. Luckily, there's basically no need for such a film now (not that there really ever was), because Mega64 just did the live-action Colossus thing! Go home, Justin Marks! Or, if you work on your writing at home, stay home but just stop! The latest Mega64 video, available after the break, is shot in the group's signature style (out in public), but features unusually high production values. The costumes are perfect in every way but scale.[Thanks, Willzay!]

If you thoroughly enjoyed Mega64's video shenanigans at last year's Independent Games Festival Awards show, brace yourselves for round two. This year's IGF Awards featured a pair of clips from the comedic quartet, both of which you can find posted after the jump. The first video is aptly titled IF YOU'RE NOT INDIE, F**K YOU, and features a bunch of people getting punched in the face, except The Behemoth co-founder Dan Paladin, who is, as legend tells us, unpunchable. The second video, Topher Great Payens: "The GDC" (an homage to the equally unsettling Shine on Me by renowned musician Chris Dane Owens) is, well, extremely bizarre. Or extremely arousing. We haven't decided yet.

No matter how many times the Mega64 guys dress as beloved video game characters and go into public, we never fail to be entertained. But their take on Metal Gear Solid 4, which debuted at the GDCAs last week, takes a turn towards the surreal and becomes something far more epic than simple spoof. We want to tell you more, but, frankly, we've said too much already. You should probably just watch the whole thing for yourself right after the break.

  • Mega64 guys are airplanes, thanks to H.A.W.X.

Though it may lack the mind-melting insanity of their first H.A.W.X. effort and definitely lacks the paper-thinly-veiled homoeroticism, there's still a simple pleasure in watching the Mega64 team recreate every toddler's favorite pastime: Pretending to be an airplane.Of course, few toddlers are grown men, let alone grown men doing it while wearing military uniforms in public. But when you see the joy they bring ... well, it's hard to judge them too harshly.[Thanks, Willzay]

It's nice to see that after all these years, the guys from Mega64 haven't lost the ability to get out there into the public and just really irritate people. Nothing fancy, no higher purpose, just getting on people's nerves for the sheer enjoyment of you, the Internet. In a tribute to Elite Beat Agents, they've added musical accompaniment to the numerous shots of agitated humans who look like they'd like nothing more than to see the three suit-clad gentlemen in front of them die and rot forever in the bowels of Hell. ... Except for thumbs-up guy at the end, he seems like he's feeling it. Check it out after the jump.

Even if you have no idea what H.A.W.X is (it's about Tom Clancy flying airplanes, right?), Mega64's promotional video for the game is a delight. As is often the case for most Mega64 videos, we don't want to say too much about the content and risk ruining your special memory of seeing it for the first time. We will say that the group has managed to make a video that is manlier than even the Tom Clanciest game.Chances are, one question will be dominating your thoughts after you watch this: where can I get that song? Good news! Anticipating the riotous clamor for the background music, the Mega64 boys have made an MP3 available at their site.

If you're not easily offended by simulated acts of canine brutality (this is already one of the strangest lead sentences we've ever written), then you may want to check out Mega64's touching tribute to the recently deceased Electronic Gaming Monthly, imbued in a video titled "Metaphors". It's a fairly comprehensive look at the grim business propositions that put the two-decade-old mag in the ground, and it's posted right after the break. It's just like, sitting there, alone. Go keep it company, won't you?

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best. That's an axiom proven by Mega64 in their latest video, where they tap into the raw, delicious comedy vein of "rapping about random things people are doing." We've put the result of their mind-meld with Parappa the Rapper right after the break.Though some of the components of the faux-Parappa's flow are a bit hurtful, they're almost all irrefutable. It is, after all, a good day not to be in a hearse.

The above video was a proposed advertisement from comedy group Mega64 for Ubisoft's Jam Sessions an undisclosed DS guitar game. Instead of actually being used, the ESRB put the smack down on the troupe's ad for ... well, we'll just let you watch and find out for yourself. We don't want to spoil it for you.If you liked that, then be sure to head past the break for the "safe for the ESRB" version.

We think the ESRB is, as a rule, pretty OK. They make it so the kids of good parents can't get adult games and the bad parents at least are forced to walk all the way into the store, which is just fine by us. But sometimes they can keep you from seeing perfectly good, perfectly surreal video game ads such as the one above made by our friends at Mega64 for an "unnamed DS guitar game" (spoiler alert, it's Jam Sessions). The most heartbreaking thing, as revealed at the end of the ad, is why the video was rejected, which we can guarantee you won't guess. But, always obliging, the guys also made a "safe for the ESRB" version, which you can find just after the break.[Update: Hey gang, the ESRB says they never saw the ad. We're not sure what the confusion is. The ESRB isn't specifically named in the ad, but we don't know who else they could have been referring to. We'll try to get to the bottom of it for you.]

HEY SON! We've all come to know and love Mega64's diminutive, mustachioed sidekick during his recent run of interviews with various members of the video game industry -- that's why it breaks our heart to learn that the video posted after the break is the final episode of Marcus' Corner. We'll be sad to bid adieu to the series, but we can think of no better way for it to conclude than to watch the pint-sized straight-talker viciously heckle Adam Sessler Geoff Keighley. From his show's tardy time slot to his favorite titles, no stone goes unturned and, as a result, unmocked. We have indeed had the time of our lives, Marcus.

  • Mega64 spoofs Assassin's Creed, avoids untimely death

It's becoming increasingly clear with every video that Mega64 releases that the group has some sort of death wish or, at the very least, a strong desire to be arrested. The latest video takes the exploits of Assassin's Creed and inserts them into the real world. What results is both hilarious and somewhat frightening. Watch the video and try to ignore the feeling that something bad is going to happen. We can assure you that once again -- somehow -- Mega64 has evaded the Grim Reaper's ever searching grasp.[Via Joystiq]

We know that some of you complained that Assassin's Creed's missions got a little repetitive after a while, and it's a fair complaint. But, as we can see in this new video from Mega64, all we apparently needed to do to spice them up was to actually attempt them in the real world (no, not all of them, JT).We felt this after the Rainbow Six Vegas 2 terrorist video, but Assassin's Creed once again leaves us dumbfounded that the Mega64 guys still haven't gotten the crap kicked out of them by some muscley stranger. Not that we're complaining, of course.

This week on Mega64's interview miniseries Marcus' Corner, the foul-mouthed puppet interviews "Dan Pilates and Josh ... John, I don't know who cares" (whose birth names are the not-so-interesting Dan Paladin and John Baez) from Behemoth, makers of Alien Hominid and the upcoming Castle Crashers. After the interview, Marcus answers fan mail and looks at fan art, such as that seen above. See what he has to be say after the break.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Mega64 has begun a six-part weekly series dubbed Marcus' Corner. All you need to know is in the first 30 seconds of the video. Following the stellar intro, Marcus interviews God of War II developer David Jaffe Cory Barlog. Here's a snippet. Barlog: "I used to work for Sony, but now I work for myself." Marcus: "You quit Sony? ... What other bad decisions have you made lately?" Video embedded after the break. Stay tuned for more next Friday.[Thanks, Willzay]

There may not currently be a game in this particular series on the DS, but there are some that are compatible with the DS. That's enough reason in our minds to post the latest video from Mega64. Those fellows certainly enjoy making funny videos about video games! Coincidentally, we enjoy watching those videos! Chances are you're very familiar with the game referenced by this week's video -- it's very well-known, and it involves cars. We won't say any more than that.

Okay, we'll fess up to it. This Mega64 video isn't exactly 360 related. However, we'll defend ourselves by saying that it is related to Street Fighter several iterations of which will soon be found on the Xbox 360. Beyond that, it's just really funny. Stupid, but funny. We'd love to say more, but that would honestly be spoiling it. So, enjoy. Oh, and if by some bizarre chance you don't get the reference, we've embedded an educational video after the break.

We'd love to tell you about this new video from our friends at Mega64, but there's very little we could say that wouldn't ruin it for you. It's sort of like that movie where Bruce Willis was a guy who didn't look dead but actually totally was. We forget the name right now.We will say though that we like how this video doesn't have a "joke" per se. It's just a fun reminder that, if brought to life, some of our favorite gaming moments would look downright ridiculous. ... See? There we go saying too much about it. Curse our verbosity! You should probably just watch the video.
