What we're watching: Sing it with me: "All I want for Chrismas is no more repeats, no more repeats, no more repeats..."; no Alvin, Simon and Theodore couldn't have sung it better. Unfortunately, it's a slow time of the year for new programming. We'll give you a choice, depending on your sports preferences. If you're into NHL Hockey, tune in to INHD at 8 p.m. for a 1080i presentation of the NHL on OLN (on INHD; don't ask). Tonight's game takes place in St. Louis where the Stars take on the Blues. If you prefer the NFL, you can catch ABC's last Monday Night Football game tonight at 9 p.m. The game between the Patriots and Jets is a real yawner; the better part of the broadcast is expected to be the various highlights over the last 36 years from MNF as it moves to EPSN next year. We take our helmets hats off to three-and-a-half decades of great Monday Night Football on ABC; the high-def presentations over the past several years were fantastic. After the jump is our traditional listing of HD programs throughout the night.

I love Monday Night Football and so does Comcast. Preceding the theme song by Hank Williams Jr., Comcast is going to run a 10 second spot promoting their digital/HD service. Later on in the first half, they will run a 30 second commercial to their customer base of 40% of the American population. This 6 million dollar campaign is going to run the rest of the session.Truthfully I think this is a great push for more high definition subscriptions. With more people subscribing to HD, it brings more revenue into the provider’s coffers, and then back into our living rooms via more channels. I would like more channels.

I'm a Dish Network subscriber, so this one really ticks me off. I won't hold it against you if you went with DirecTV; in fact, I'll even share the good news. DirecTV is adding an option to the very popular NFL Sunday Ticket package. For an additional $99, DirecTV provides their "Super Fan" features."Super Fan" gives you up to eight games on a single screen, game highlights on the Red Zone Channel, condensed games on Short Cuts and, most importantly, more than 100 games in HD. DirecTV is already getting close to $300 for ther regular NFL Sunday Ticket, so this package brings you closer to $400. We say: save your money. You can usually catch three HD games every Sunday via free over-the-air (OTA) signals. It's not just because we have Dish and we're bitter. Ok, maybe just a little bitter, but then again, we're watching NFL in HD for zip!
