If what's been holding you back from playing Eve: Valkyrie has been the lack of a VR headset, that (very valid) reason has disappeared. In addition to the new subtitle, Warzone, there's a new capture the flag gametype, new ships, ultra abilities and customizations for said ships and a pair of new maps. And, of course, now you can play the game on PC or PlayStation 4 sans an expensive and bulky virtual reality display hanging from your face.

Thumper, the trippy rhythm game with a pulsing electronic soundtrack (no, the other one) was one of the surprise hits of PlayStation VR's launch. And now it's headed elsewhere. That's right, folks with HTC Vive and Oculus Rift headsets will be able to find the title in their store of choice now. The recently released update on Steam adds "basic support" for Oculus Touch and Vive wands as well. With what I've played of the game on PSVR though, I'm not sure how motion control is going to improve the experience -- a gamepad is a perfect fit as it is. But hey, Thumper in more places is hard to complain about.

While full-fledged VR headsets like the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive have gotten a lot of press lately, it's worth remembering that Samsung's Gear VR has been around for a lot longer. And due to its lower price and the fact that it only requires a phone, it's also a whole lot more accessible. That could explain why just six months after the consumer Gear VR launched, over 1 million people have used Gear VR in the past month alone, Oculus revealed today. The Facebook-owned entity took this milestone opportunity to not only introduce a slew of new video content but also give us an update on how mobile VR is progressing.

When Will Smith (no, not that one) announced he was leaving Tested to start his own virtual reality company last September, it came as a bit of a shock. But sometimes you see something so powerful that you can't do anything to stop yourself from pursuing it. Now Smith has revealed exactly what he's doing: A talk show filmed entirely in VR called The FOO Show. "My goal with The FOO Show is to showcase amazing creators and their works in ways that were never before possible, using virtual reality," he writes on Medium.
