After launching last year on PC and Sony platforms, both OlliOlli 2 and Not a Hero are heading to the Xbox One in 2016, each in its own definitive edition. OlliOlli 2: XL Edition includes the complete sidescrolling skateboarding game plus the new FreeSkate Mode. Check out our 2015 live stream with the developers for a taste of OlliOlli 2's grinding goodness. If you're in the mood for something more violent -- and somehow more adorable at the same time -- Not a Hero: Super Snazzy Edition features the base game (an isometric shooter starring an anthropomorphized bunny) plus new, exclusive content called "Me, Myself and BunnyLord."

Just over a month ago, Roll7 stopped by JXE Streams to laugh at us as we repeatedly wiped out grinding rails in skateboarding game OlliOlli 2. Now the studio is coming back on the show to mock us for lacking an entirely different set of skills. We're just not that good at jumping through windows and shooting thugs under the orders of a maniacal bunny man from the future who happens to be running for mayor. Yes, that is really what Not a Hero is about and we'll be playing it with the game's creators starting at 3:30PM ET.

One of the most commonly and inappropriately used words employed to describe video games is "visceral." As combinations of vowels and consonants go it's a humdinger, but it's impact disappears when you're talking about a game where a happy plumber jumps on turtles. Viscera is not affected. OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood, Roll7's aggressively stylish skateboarding game, is actually visceral. The first time you wipe out on a staircase and watch your wee skater violently obey the laws of gravity, you can feel it in your very own guts and it is brutal. The satisfaction of starting again and nailing that same grind? Hits you in the same place. Today we're hanging out with the creators of OlliOlli 2 while playing the game on PS4.

  • Joystiq Weekly: Destiny's loot cave, Shadow of Mordor review, building narratives and more

Welcome to Joystiq Weekly, a "too long; didn't read" of each week's biggest stories, reviews and original content. Each category's top story is introduced with a reactionary gif, because moving pictures aren't just for The Daily Prophet. Season passes that add content to separately-sold video games that also offer bundled in video games? Ubisoft's dollop of Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China on top of this year's double-portion of Assassin's Creed is interesting, both due to being bundled in a season pass and its sidescrolling platformer nature. We're already looking forward to when season passes include trilogy HD remasters, which will in turn include their own season passes, complete with spinoff-pack ins. Everything is connected, you see. There was a lot more to this week than alternative business strategies though. Have you heard of a little series called Super Smash Bros.? What about Lord of the Rings? We've got reviews of the latest (interactive) installments in both, as well as news of Destiny's loot cave, features on developing narratives and what developers and YouTubers think of Steam Curators. They're all joined by many other stories, waiting for you after the break!

High-flying skateboard stunt sim OlliOlli is getting a sequel on the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, developer Roll7 announced today. OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood expands on the framework of its predecessor with split-route levels, an improved grinding system, and a local four-skater multiplayer mode, among other major additions. The sequel will also feature combo-linking manuals and reverts, putting it on an evolutionary path that matches early Tony Hawk's Pro Skater sequels. OlliOlli2 will premiere in 2015. [Image: Roll7]
