Star Citizen concept art shows off Orion III colony
This time of night I've only got one thing on my mind, and that's dinner. Seriously, the Massively graveyard shift makes my stomach rumble. Fortunately Cloud Imperium is here to fill it up with some sweet, sweet Star Citizen concept art. The main course is a trio of gorgeous images from the former colony world of Orion III. Armitage, as the world was also called, was "the site of the farthest human colony from Earth... and one of the first targets of the Vanduul menace." After you've dined on the establishing aerial artwork, it's time for dessert in the form of some early sketches for specific planetary locations. Feast your eyes at the official Star Citizen website.
One Shots: Om nom nom
When facing off against a bunch of nasty monsters in Age of Conan, there's always a chance that you'll wind up overrun and in deep trouble. When faced with heavy odds, today's One Shots contributor, Vahe, decided to take a moment for a quick snack to restore her power. While we're not entirely sure that it would qualify as a tasty snack, it certainly seems to be nourishing at least. The other thing that amused us is the detail put into the snack item in this screenshot. Vahe writes in to explain: "What you're seeing here is my Herald of Xotli feasting on the heart of a demon. She gets very hungry in her line of work and to satisfy her hunger why not take a bite out of a juicy heart fresh from a demon." Sounds like the kind of ploy that would get us to rethink attacking someone: rip the heart out of someone and start nomming on it! You never know when a quest is going to go horribly awry, and you'll find yourself face to face - or nose to beak, in this case - with a big creature who is bent on your destruction. Today's One Shots shows off one such "oh crap" moment, sent in to us from Xion, who is playing Warhammer Online on the EU servers! Xion writes in: Well, I did an epic chain-quest on the Isle of the Dead. In this quest I had to destroy a [piece of] jewelry, but when I destroyed it a Souleater demon broke out from it. Well... it was a trap. After that I had to destroy the Demon. Do you think I had a chance against it?We love to see those moments where things jump out at you and go "boo!" - or roar, squawk, or just leer menacingly at you.
