Anyone who has ever played World of Warcraft has likely noticed the poo quests. Why there seems to be such a fascination with poo amongst the quest writers, we're not entirely sure. It appears that even with the world breaking apart, more poo lies ahead for members of the Horde. At least, that's what we hear from today's One Shots contributor Derick M., who writes in to give us his thoughts as well as a note about the image. He writes: "I've been extremely impressed with the new content that the latest patch to World of Warcraft has given us, especially since we got so much for free. This has really shown me how Cataclysm is going to basically be World of Warcraft 2. It feels like a completely new game. Here's an example of some of the new quest content in the completely reworked Azshara zone:" "The giant laxative having failed, the goblins have decided to try shrinking Gordek, my new Troll Druid, down to the size of a bug. That way he can ride a rat over to a nearby stone giant in an attempt to literally scare the crap out of him. It turns out that the rarest and most precious stone in all of Azeroth is actually giant poop." Are you exploring new and interesting areas in your favorite MMO? If so, we'd love to see what you're up to. Email your screenshots in to us here at oneshots@massively.com along with your name, the name of the game, and a description of what we're seeing. It could wind up being the next image we feature here on Massively.com! %Gallery-85937%

  • The Empire of Zul'drak issue resolved with a new quest

A lot of players aiming for the Loremaster achievement were hitting a snag in Zul'Drak. Because of one or two quests that were only able to be done while on a single questline, a lot of players that missed it initially were blocked from going back to it and were stuck at 99/100 quests. Patch 3.0.8 brings some great news for those people: A new quest has been added to the zone so you can finish your achievement.Chronicler To'kini in the quest hub Zim'Torga now offers the quest Tails Up, which as of this posting doesn't appear on either Wowhead or WoWDB yet. It's another of Blizzard's awkward humor quests, though luckily it's not poop related. Genitalia is the name of the game this time around. The Chronicler wants to bring some Zul'Drak wildlife back to Zandalar to study, but he specifically wants females from you. So you pump the beasts full of tranquilizers, do what you see in the picture to the right there, and you pray it's a female.

  • The VC Advantage: A Very Special Anniversary Edition

The internet has made it easy to find cheats for games, but we miss the tips pages from game magazines, when the discovery of a new code could inspire you to go back to an old game. These codes aren't exactly new, but oldness is the essence of the Virtual Console! We're bringing back the classic codes every week on The VC Advantage. It's another special celebration this week at Wii Fanboy, and we thought that we would do something special in this week's VC Advantage, involving one of the most iconic Virtual Console games -- in fact, one of the most iconic video games of all time. Even though Super Mario Bros. didn't come out in the U.S. until Christmas, it's the canonical Nintendo game and thus seems like a perfect candidate for the Wii anniversary week VCA.Two (more) caveats before we delve into our subject matter: first, we'd like to bring up the point that not all secrets are cheats, and not all are intentional. Some of the most interesting discoveries in video games were put in there totally by accident, or are the result of someone's imagination. Second, the images and subject matter of today's VCA are as not safe for work as unaltered Super Mario Bros. footage can be.

  • Get out the scooper, time to take the felhound for a walk

Udderpants of Twisting Nether makes a really great point on the forums: We've braved an entire civilization of trolls (and the avatar they worship), we've brought dragon heads back to our cities, and we've slaughtered the opposing faction until our leaders deemed us worthy enough to be given the best gear-- and yet we're consigned to picking up felhound poop in Outland. Can't say I was prepared for that.Which isn't to say that I don't like the quest. One of the things I was hoping for in Outland was a little more quest variety, and while the actual clicking is still there (that gear does an amazing number of things), at least there's a little more story-- I also like the quest (also Horde) in which you find out that a Blood Elf at Falcon Watch is being cheated on by her lover. But still-- poop? I've got over 400 spell damage, fer chrissakes! Neth says, in her almost infinite wisdom (she did have a little bit of trouble explaining away the honor nerf way back when) says it's to teach us humility, which all great heroes should have in-- excuse me on this one-- spades. I guess before you get to clean out all the crap in Karahzan and the Black Temple, everyone's gotta pick up a little poop.

  • Maddox is "tired of Sony's bullshit"

The Best Page in the Universe has left its four-month slumber for a rant against Sony. His hatred seems to come from Sony's lawsuit that led to the closure of Lik-Sang. Here's what he has to say: "Sony is suing to prevent people from selling PSPs? Great move, morons! Because if there's anything Sony needs right now, it's fewer people buying PSPs."In typical Maddox fashion, he has nothing kind to say about Sony and its PSP. "Sony would love nothing more than to see you and your family suffer. Sony is like that psycho-ex who you had a few good times with, but was too clingy and the sex got boring. Now it's over and Sony is still stewing about it by leaving you voice mail asking for another chance and promising it "can change."Feel free to send your hate mail to: maddox@xmission.com. Or, buy his book.[Via Joystiq]
