I'm classifying this quest as lesser-known, as I have just finally come across it after 2 1/2 years and 5 level 60's. Yes, you may call me ignorant and tell me I'm not paying attention in the comments.Tooga is a giant tortoise who's lost and roaming somewhere in southern Tanaris. I found him just south of the Thistleshrub Valley, wandering aimlessly in search of dinner for his wife.As far as escort quests go, Tooga's Quest is remarkably simple and rewarding. Instead of chasing across the desert like some other quest I know, Tooga is actually quite happy to follow you, giving you a 30-minute timer to take him to the coast just south of Steamwheedle Port.Given that Tooga will actually help you in combat, it's a bit like you get a level 50 turtle pet for 30 minutes who then hands over the experience and loot.I won't give away the entire dialog here, but let's just say that even though you get 5900xp and your choice of great shaman bracers or a druid ring, you almost feel bad for Tooga as his wife Torta treats the poor fella like a baby treats a diaper. If you're out and about in Tanaris, take some time to lead Tooga to the shore, killing mobs along the way. You could run straight to the shore in 10 minutes, but take the time with this pet - he makes for a good tank.If you've done this quest, let us know of your experience with it, and if you used Tooga as a combat pet or just ran him straight home.

  • Lots of Arena PVP info from Drysc

Drysc has practically written a novel today on the upcoming rewards for Arena PVP. When a player asks how the rewards will be distributed, Drysc opens up and answers a lot of questions we had about how the Arena system would work. Arena honor points will be given based on ranking every week during maintenance-- if you have a high ranking, you get more points than if you have a low ranking. This means that everyone will eventually have access to all of the Arena PVP awards. If your team is terrific, you'll get access to them much faster than a team that flouders in the rankings, but no matter how you play, as long as you have a ranking, you'll earn points every week. Arena seasons will last three months, and and the end of a season, the teams with the top rankings for that period will get "cool prizes." Drysc says that, unlike the normal Arena PVP awards, these rewards will be "purely status or cosmetic in nature," but what that means we're not sure-- special mounts? Special tabards? Cooler looking versions of Arena weapons? One of the rewards will be titles for the top teams at the end of the season. The other big news: rankings won't go into effect until you're level 70. You'll still be able to play Arena "skirmishes" that don't count towards the ranking (they'll still give honor points, however), but not until you ding 70 will you be able to enter the tournament system. In addition, the skirmishes will be seperated by every 5 levels-- 60-64, 65-69, and 70 for the ranking system. And once you do start ranking, you need 10 matches minimum to enter the system. So Drysc says most players will probably play their ten, and then decide whether it's something they want to stick with or not. In addition, he predicts matches will run "5 minutes or less"-- in sharp contrast to the BGs currently in the game. Finally, Drysc says players will be able to be on one team of each size-- 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5. Sounds awesome-- can't wait to see what kind of rewards come out of the system, and the prospect of "5 min or less" matches sounds a lot more enticing than the looooong WSG and AV matches I've been stuck in lately. While we're at it, here's a little Arena video as well. In just the Arena system alone, PVPers will have plenty to play with come the Burning Crusade.

The past few stories about Loco Roco have been a bit too depressing. Let's ignore the low sales and remember the good things about the game: like happy happy graphics and even happier music. That's what this fun, candy-coated Loco Roco fan video does. It showcases some images from the game and puts it to the absolutely fantastic music of the game. If this doesn't make you happy, then you've lost your childhood somewhere along the way.The bottom video of this special edition Video Sandwich shows you how to get every single secret in the downloadable demo. Pretty helpful for those of you that want to earn your Loco Roco Rewards the right way. It's intersting to see the things that you may have missed. (I know without this video, I would've never found that final fruit that I've been missing!)

Loco Roco is a gift to PSP owners: it's an original IP that's getting a lot of buzz for the system, and it was one of the very first games to offer a downloadable demo. Well, the gifts are still coming. From now until August 19th, you can enter the code that appears at the top right-hand corner of the screen when you finish your game to earn some new gifts. Gifts include sound files and wallpapers. It says you need version 1.01 of the demo, but from the looks of things, whatever demo you have right now should work perfectly fine.Enter your code (or download the demo) here. Thanks, steve![Update 1: For those of you that don't want to have fun a challenge, here are the download links of the gifts!]Download Set #1Download Set #2Download Set #3Download Set #4
