TUAW TV Live: Form factors and other delights
All the talk these days about forthcoming Apple devices seems to focus on one thing -- form factors, AKA "how big the screen is". With the iPhone, there's a lot of talk about a larger display, and despite the fact that the iPad already comes in two main sizes (mini and Air), people are making comments about an even larger form factor. So, Doc and I will take this as our starting point for our usual rambling discussion today, then moving off to the rest of our fun things including our software and hardware picks of the week, our tips of the week for either iOS or OS X, and of course the weekly trivia contest! Shawn "Doc Rock" Boyd and I will be getting the show started at around 5 PM EDT today. Note that things are a wee bit different from in the past -- you'll still need to visit us over on the dedicated stream and chat page at http://tuaw.com/tuawtvlive -- but the stream will be coming to you via YouTube. There are some nice things there, like a screen that will tell you how long until we're going live, or if we're a bit late you'll see a "starting soon" screen. TUAW TV Live: Spring Fever episode
Ahhh, spring is in the air. The birds are singing, the trees are budding, and a young man's fancy turns to thoughts of WWDC announcements. Well, it's probably a bit premature to start thinking about what might (or might not) be announced at this year's World Wide Developer Conference, but that's going to be just one of the topics today on TUAW TV Live. We'll have some new weekly features, including our picks of the week for hardware and apps, a trivia question, and maybe even a tip or two to make life easier for you. TUAW TV Live: Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
With apologies to David Bowie for mutilating his lyrics in a TUAW TV Live promo post headline. Changes are afoot at TUAW TV Live. By next week, we expect to have the show broadcasting on YouTube Live and will then start adding some new features to make the show more interactive. This week should be our last using the current broadcast mechanism. TUAW TV Live at Macworld/iWorld 2014
Although a slight weather delay may keep me from starting off the show with Doc today, we're both planning on gracing your computer and tablet screens later today with a live show from San Francisco. The team is in the Bay Area for Macworld/iWorld 2014, which officially begins tomorrow and runs through Saturday (the MacIT conference started today). TUAW TV Live Pre-Macworld/iWorld Episode
The TUAW-logoed Aloha shirts are packed, we're getting the giveaways boxed up, and we're making plans for the annual Apple lovefest known as Macworld/iWorld. TUAW will be wandering about the show floor, hitting the parties, and bringing you all the news on the best new products and apps for your Apple gear.
