Claymation point-and-clicker Armikrog has until Thursday, June 27 to reach its $900,000 Kickstarter goal, but developer Pencil Test Studios decided it's never too late to add a stretch goal to its funding initative. In this case, the former Neverhood developers added a $950,000 stretch goal to its campaign that would bring the game to Wii U. An update on the project noted that Nintendo "fast-tracked" Pencil Test Studios to become a licensed Wii U developer, and the studio said Nintendo contacted it recently to see if the developer would be interest in bringing Armikrog to Wii U. Of course, the project still has a few days to reach its initial goal; the project currently sits at $635,887.

If you've been meaning to throw money at Richard Garriott's Shroud of the Avatar Kickstarter campaign but haven't yet, the good news is that there are now more rewards for people who pledge support to the game. The $50 reward tier now includes a special Immortality Fruit, a special title, and early access to your surname. At $60, you also get a special tunic, weapon, and pet. The new $80 tier adds in future access to episodes 2 & 3 of the game, an indestructible starter tool, and the ability to tame an elusive monster out in the wild (assuming the game reaches its stretch goal for the taming system). Those who have already donated will receive the rewards as well, but there are several more expanded tiers that might convince fans to bump in a few more dollars.

Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey hit and ricocheted off its funding goal of $850,000 on Kickstarter with three weeks remaining, which can only mean one thing: It's stretch goal time."And now it's our time to deliver," Red Thread writes in its Kickstarter success update. "We promise to make the best game we can possibly make, one that lives up to your expectations and the legacy of The Longest Journey saga. A game that we can all be proud of. A game worthy of your generous pledges. And we'll keep you involved, every step of the way. But first: stretch goals!"If the Kickstarter hits $900,000, Red Thread will develop Mac and Linux versions of Dreamfall Chapters. Earning $950,000 gets The Loremaster, an in-game library with books and mythology of the universe, and $1 million makes A Longer Journey a reality, adding new locations, characters and stories to the game. Red Thread has stretch goals planned out to $2 million – which marks The Longest Journey Home – though they're all shrouded in mystery for now.By current count, the Dreamfall Chapters Kickstarter has almost $890,000 and 20 days to go, making at least that first stretch goal a very probable thing.

  • Pathfinder Online blog on designing in the game and on the table

Pathfinder Online's Kickstarter project hits its goal this Friday, and that means the staff has been hard at work designing the game. That design includes both the world for players to explore and the module being released to Kickstarter backers. A new developer blog discusses designing the city of Thornkeep, both in the eponymous book and as a starting point for characters coming into the world of Pathfinder Online. According to writer Rich Baker, the first problem encountered during design was the fact that the book is written with Thornkeep as a somewhat lawless place, while Thornkeep in the MMO will be a starting point for new players. As a result, Thornkeep has a strong central leader with a capricious streak, enough to convey the sense of lawless air while still keeping things sufficiently safe for new entrants. The blog also discusses dungeon design for the book and the tech demo. If either one sounds interesting to you, you've still got a couple of days to jump on the Kickstarter wagon to help fund the development team.
