"Soon, new allies will come forth through that gate and the glory of the Alliance will grow even further, finally gaining that symbol of power that strikes fear into the heart of those who dare oppose us," she writes. "Kudos, Blizzard, for giving us what are essentially werewolves while the Horde get what are essentially very short trolls. Lorewise, both factions gain valuable allies. Razer adds a dozen keys to Naga MMO mouse, intros rollable gaming surface
Who says MMO gamers are alienated by everyone accessory makers? Across the pond in Germany, Razer has stepped up to serve the needs of basement-dwelling World of Warcraft players with its first dedicated MMO mouse. The Naga, as it's so beautifully called, gives users a dozen customizable buttons on the side in order to take some of those keyboard macros (or just the 1 - 12 number keys) and put them within thumb's reach. The mouse (shown in video after the break) also ships with a robust software suite that can save unlimited profiles and program "thousands of different in-game commands for each character you choose to play." In case that's not enough to get your juices flowing, the company also outed an all new gaming surface (the Megasoma) that can be rolled up and tucked away for easy transport between LAN parties. Check the read link for all the nitty-gritty details, and get ready to hand over $79.99 for the critter and $49.99 for the mouse when they ship worldwide later this year.
Creative set to unveil World of Warcraft headgear at BlizzCon
The Creative Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Wireless Headset is quite a mouthful to say, and judging by the teaser image above, it'll be no less flashy to look at. Following in the footsteps of SteelSeries, Creative has put together a customized set of high-end headphones catering specifically to the millions of Warcraftsmen (has anyone used that term before, can we copyright it?) out there, who need comfortable cans for lengthy raiding sessions. They'll come in both wired and wireless flavors, and will be the first to feature THX TruStudio PC sound, which we're willing to bet makes as recognizable a difference as a butterfly flapping its wings somewhere in the Amazon. Dear Diary: I've now been stranded on this ice floe for ten godforsaken days. My tail feathers are so iced over that they crack into pieces whenever I try to move. The hunger is worse today; I think all of the penguins that were dumb enough to come over and "look at the fire" have become my dinner, and the ones that are left are too smart to get within my reach. They stay an arm's length away, taunting me with their freshly caught fish. Curse that survival of the fittest! My hopes that the Kalu'aks will come searching for their crashed ferry and rescue me are wearing thin. This screenshot might not be much to look at, but the story behind it is so heart-meltingly touching I had to post it. Our anonymous submitter from Cenarion Circle writes, "As a cat of mine I had for 11 years passed away suddenly, I wanted to remember her in game through a vanity pet. Well, the closest match was a Black Tabby Cat that drops off of Dalaran mages in Silverpine Forest. My toon being Alliance, the only way to get it was through the AH, but the prices were way too expensive for me to get. So I sent a "Talk to a GM ticket" to see if there were any other mobs that drop the cat. After talking to a GM, he stepped out for a minute then asks me to log off a sec.""After doing so I found a Black Tabby Cat in my mailbox. The mail I got said that "Since you have been such a loyal customer and have not requested anything of us in the past we have decided to provide you with the requested item at this time. " The letter even had a special message at the front that read " Item Restoration (In Memory of [My Cat])". Here' s the pic of my now immortalized (at least till the servers are shut off in the year 3000 by Bender himself) cat in game." The next time you get camped for two hours by a player thirty levels above your own, remember that all of the total jerk players out there in Azeroth were once clueless level ones, falling off of Teldrassil, getting murdered by boars, and clicking repeatedly on the "attack" button as if this were Diablo. Erdeth of Nagrand has decided that the best way to avoid future problems with her Alliance opponents is to kill all the level one humans as they spawn, while they're still weak and confused. To this end, she's launching a full-scale assault from the hills above Northshire Abbey. Sure, the humans will soon learn not to click on the terrifying armored lady standing in front of the spawn point, but she'll probably be able to thin the population of its stupidest members. While questing in Coldarra, mage Sichas of Dentarg has forgotten the first rule of video games: ice monsters require fire magic to destroy them, and vice versa. And for some reason, water enemies are weak to lightning, which bears no resemblance to real life. I have yet to see flood waters be harmed by a downed power line.
