Where would you go if you had a chance to vacation in Azeroth? Not sure? Well, while you take time to consider, you can take a look at this video, showing Mesatay's Azerothian vacation.

  • WoW Moviewatch: How many level ones does it take...

...to down Hogger? This video suggests that a group of around 20 can do it. (And before you shake your head and start talking about how easy this is, do remember that Hogger is a level 11 elite -- just think about the miss rate a level one character would have to have.) And this is, yes, what World of Warcraft players do when they get bored -- oh, so bored!

One day, an entire guild woke up and decided that this ship was no longer for Alliance use. Now... load times on ships between continents can already be bad -- and I can't imagine this would improve them at all.

  • WoW Moviewatch: Machinima with a conscience

Hugh Hancock from Strange Company (one of the coolest ideas for a company on the planet: they produce machinima professionally) sent us his latest work, part of a campaign in support of Fair Trade, the foundation that works around the world against inequality and exploitation for Third-World farmers. I wasn't sure what to expect when I first loaded it up, but it turned out pretty good. That poor troll! What is Runecloth selling for on the AH now? Somehow I doubt the corporations that take advantage of farmers around the world are orcs in suits saying "Monopolies FTW," but it seems close enough. Kudos to Hugh and company for bringing social and economic ethics to the world of Azeroth.

  • WoW Moviewatch: Ice block ftw!

Oh, sure -- any mage who's been around the block a time or two knows just how useful the talent ice block can be. For a scant 21 points in the frost tree, ice block makes the mage immune to all damage for 10 seconds, on a 5 minute cooldown. And apparently, with good timing, it allows you to do things like Mikeystar did in this video.

  • WoW Moviewatch: Kiting Omen

For those of you who don't know, Omen is a raid boss in Moonglade who is present for the Lunar Festival event (which continues until the 8th of March for those of you who haven't yet had time to participate). And in true if-you-build-it-they-will-come fashion, industrious players across the realms are working to kite Omen to the nearest major city -- Orgrimmar, of course!

  • WoW Moviewatch: Rioting across the realms

Well, some players have decided that in-game riots may be the answer. The answer, at least until GMs started mass sleeping players participating and handing out three hour bans. This video (which is not entirely safe for work) covers rioting on Dentrag, but there are similar happenings on Warsong, Stormscale, and perhaps other realms. However, while many priests don't feel they're being listened to elsewhere, I'm not sure this is the solution -- at least unless your goal is to get your account banned.[Thanks, Adam]

This spoof of the popular GEICO cavemen commercials is simple in concept and execution, but nicely done. I'm not sure I would have picked draenei as the race to go with, considering their technological advancement... Orcs or trolls, maybe, but draenei?Previously on Moviewatch...

Before you click play, you've got to know that this video contains some language that is not safe for work. That said, it's a great re-enactment of an excellent scene from the movie Fight Club. And it fits the dueling culture of the game awfully well, too. (You know, if people told me "I want you to hit me as hard as you can" before requesting duels, I think I'd be likely to accept a lot more duels.)Previously on Moviewatch...[Via Hardest Boss]

This joke is hardly new, but sometimes you just can't beat a classic. And if you enjoy it in this World of Warcraft version, you may also be entertained by the original Abbott and Costello version (even though it is in low-tech black and white).More of your favorites from WoW Moviewatch.

No, it's not a flashy PvP video and it doesn't show any exciting new raid bosses being taken out. However, in an interesting twist of genre, the authors of this video decided to make use of World of Warcraft for a class project on The Canterbury Tales. And interestingly enough, the world of Azeroth seems to be a pretty good fit for the story.

I know, I know -- we had such a positive discussion yesterday about cries of "nerf this!" and "nerf that!" But this compelling video evidence is awfully hard to argue with. [Thanks, Tylluan, for pointing out that Joystiq tagged this video first]

  • WoW Moviewatch: The RawrBomb

Xxorn of Durotan demonstrates the druid's fearsome RawrBomb technique. The technique, originally developed by Siiren of Warsong, involves a druid positioning himself above his enemy in flight form, shifting out of flight and into bear, and feral charging a target right before hitting the ground. As you can see, the RawrBomb is hard to perfect, and Xxorn only got one successful one off compared to a lot of hitting the ground and dying. Still, it would be pretty nice to see an army of druids own Thrallmar or Telaar someday. There's nothing scarier than the revenge of the druids. "Remember when you told us all we had to spec resto or get /gkicked? Eat flying bear death from my Night Elf friends!"

This video explains much about warlock culture that had previously been a mystery. And with the upcoming expansion release, I wonder if there are any kittens in Outland or if, like class trainers, we will have to travel all the way back to Azeroth to locate any...

As easy as it is to win an Alterac Valley match using nothing more than a straightforward zerg, it's rare to see any of the turnin required NPCs spawn in the course of a game. Ever wondered what it might be like to spend the time and make use of every single powerup available to your faction? These guys have done the wondering -- and the working -- for you. However, I'd still like to know how long it took them...!

Kiting mobs around the world is yesterday's news. Today's challenge: kiting farmbots. Oh, sure, they can't wreck the same havoc a mob could upon arrival in the nearest city, but I'm guessing this is a lot more personally rewarding.

Oh, sure. We've all been there. Idly minding our own business, cheerfully grinding away when all of a sudden those instant cast spells seem to start taking 10 seconds to cast, when they cast at all. Personally, I think I would have been more amused then if the game inserted this video's music during those lag-heavy times.

I know what you're thinking. You've been playing World of Warcraft since release and the Leeroy jokes are starting to wear just the teensiest bit thin. But I have to say that even I laughed at this video (a promo for this year's Video Game Awards) and I'm not sure I found Leeroy terribly funny the first time around.

And who do you think wins? In the case of this raid on the Scarlet Crusade server, neither side emerged victorious. The onslaught of 40 paladins and 40 shamans coming together to fight crippled and crashed the server. (Perhaps this means that Blizzard won?)

Fanatikzor went through the trouble of capturing all the different Tier 5 sets and tossed the video up on You Tube. How considerate! It is nice to see these sets on moving characters, rather than just screencaps. And yes, the music is not the best, but is it ever? However, I will give him credit for being the first to follow Linkin Park with MC Hammer. Congrats!
