The real estate agent assured Carlosol of <Boogie Knights> on Aggramar-EU that his purchase was sound. "Sure, it used to be part of a bad neighborhood," she said. "But some wandering adventurers came by and cleared out all those nasty prison escapees. Just fix up the inside, and presto, you've got yourself a reasonably-priced condo right in downtown Stormwind!" Looking back, he reflected that he might have wanted to press a little more on her "just fix up the inside" comment. He hadn't expected that the previous owners would leave all of their bloodstained furniture behind. Still, the torture rack would make an excellent dinner table with enough varnish.Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? Dear Diary: I've now been stranded on this ice floe for ten godforsaken days. My tail feathers are so iced over that they crack into pieces whenever I try to move. The hunger is worse today; I think all of the penguins that were dumb enough to come over and "look at the fire" have become my dinner, and the ones that are left are too smart to get within my reach. They stay an arm's length away, taunting me with their freshly caught fish. Curse that survival of the fittest! My hopes that the Kalu'aks will come searching for their crashed ferry and rescue me are wearing thin. I fear that unless the zeppelin crew spots me today, this may be my last journal entry. -- Serthida of <Elder Tribunal> on Bloodhoof. Chleo from Alexstrasza-US is clearly using Aimbot! That would be the only explanation for this FPS-style shot of Stoutlager Inn, though one has to wonder what exactly she's WASD-ing at. Maybe she's after Nazis. Or zombies. Or Nazi zombies. Or zombie Nazis (there is a difference).I wonder if she could be convinced to change her character name to Blaskowitz. Some things should be taken literally. Some things should not. Arinod of the <Armored Bear Cavalry> on Kargath US seems to have discovered one of those things that should not. Avinrod, the dashing fellow in the foreground, woke up one day to find the slightly-less-dashing fellow in the background following him around. No matter how many people tell the poor guy that's not what Shadow Priest means... well. Shadows can't hear, apparently. I found this picture that reader Murkowsky sent in while browsing through the archives. It's of an honest attempt at a fireworks show, complete with many people setting off many different fireworks at the right time. All this happened on the realm Gnomeregan last July. I actually think I was around watching it too. Small world! The shot is nicely timed and the fireworks are nicely placed. Oohhh, ahhhh! Today's image (and caption) comes from Manbearpig from the guild Clandestine Circle, on the Garona-US realm. He says, "After growing up a poor bullied cub in Teldrassil, Manbearpig wasn't just going to stand by and watch these Frenzyheart keep the poor Oracle Orphan from his shinies any more! Rawr! Volunteering his time, Manbearpig hopes to teach this young Oracle that to deal with bullies you have to stand up for yourself. Tell them "No! Stop it!" in a loud voice. Then walk away, or run if you have to. If all else fails, then Mangle (Rank 5)!"Personally, I'd start with the whole Mangle thing a lot sooner than that. Submitter Beastotem of the guild Arise on Spinebreaker-EU sends us this photograph, freshly snapped from the back of his flying mount. When I saw it, I have to say, I was filled with a sense of foreboding doom. That's right, everyone, brace yourselves. The Two Towers are back. It looks like Sauron decided that the big flaming eye on the spire was so last year, but Saruman, strangely enough, seems to have decided to redecorate Orthanc in neon greens and blues. Stabin of <The Last to Fall> on Thorium Brotherhood unfortunately turned into 'that girl' at her friend's RP wedding. You know the one. Take one inappropriately skimpy dress, add a whole bunch of alcohol, and suddenly she's dancing on the tables, flirting with the best man, and ending her night crying in the corner with about seven slices of wedding cake. This screenshot might not be much to look at, but the story behind it is so heart-meltingly touching I had to post it. Our anonymous submitter from Cenarion Circle writes, "As a cat of mine I had for 11 years passed away suddenly, I wanted to remember her in game through a vanity pet. Well, the closest match was a Black Tabby Cat that drops off of Dalaran mages in Silverpine Forest. My toon being Alliance, the only way to get it was through the AH, but the prices were way too expensive for me to get. So I sent a "Talk to a GM ticket" to see if there were any other mobs that drop the cat. After talking to a GM, he stepped out for a minute then asks me to log off a sec.""After doing so I found a Black Tabby Cat in my mailbox. The mail I got said that "Since you have been such a loyal customer and have not requested anything of us in the past we have decided to provide you with the requested item at this time. " The letter even had a special message at the front that read " Item Restoration (In Memory of [My Cat])". Here' s the pic of my now immortalized (at least till the servers are shut off in the year 3000 by Bender himself) cat in game." "Since the mass exodus of brave adventurers from the ever-curious Outland to the arctic climates of Northrend, the Sha'tari Skyguard has had recruitment problems for their Skettis offensives," writes submitter Rioriel of <Assurance> on The Sha'tar-EU. "With the proposed lifting of flying restrictions over Wintergrasp, the faction decided to practice synchronized Skyguard Drape-opening and landing in formation. Choosing the open plains of Howling Fjord proved to be their shortcoming as a wandering Storm Giant picked off the falling Alliance and Horde members. But by a massive stroke of luck..."Actually, Rioriel and his fifty-six accomplices coordinated this cross-faction massacre/narcolepsy attack over Ventrilo. Why did they do it? Why not? I can't get enough of the new Sylvanas model, even though she does sort of remind me of the creepy dark elf pervert from Oblivion. The next time you get camped for two hours by a player thirty levels above your own, remember that all of the total jerk players out there in Azeroth were once clueless level ones, falling off of Teldrassil, getting murdered by boars, and clicking repeatedly on the "attack" button as if this were Diablo. Erdeth of Nagrand has decided that the best way to avoid future problems with her Alliance opponents is to kill all the level one humans as they spawn, while they're still weak and confused. To this end, she's launching a full-scale assault from the hills above Northshire Abbey. Sure, the humans will soon learn not to click on the terrifying armored lady standing in front of the spawn point, but she'll probably be able to thin the population of its stupidest members. What's worse than having to run down a tunnel while being chased by a huge boulder? As Tavion of <Of Blood and Bone> on Grizzly Hills recently learned, running up stairs while being chased by an angry giant is infinitely more difficult. "Capped this as I was attemtping to make it out of VoA before getting killed," she wrote. "During a particularly painful PuG 10-Man, the tanks went down almost instantly (stacking stamina does not = tank gear, by the way) and the healers were down seconds later. As I saw it, my best option was just to get the heck out while the fury warrior tried to tank, buying me enough time to make it up the stairs. I was the last one alive and he got me only a few feet from the door."
