Video of Pleo the dinobot in action
Cnet has a video of Pleo the robotic dinosaur (maybe we should say the
other robotic dinosaur), that cute, plush automaton
with 38 sensors, 14 servos, and a strong lineage in the person of none other than Furby himself. For the 15 seconds of
the vid that some guy (Ugobe CEO Bob Christopher) isn't telling us how great Pleo is and we can actually see the little
guy do his thing, we were pretty impressed by the life-like movements and lack of aggression that frankly made us a
little uncomfortable around that other, other dinobot, Wowwee's Roboreptile.[Thanks, William]

The end od the Cabage Patch Kid as we know it - thank god.
The video of Ugobe's DEMO2006 presentation is now online too:

It's interesting. A bit lame at the end, (singing happy birthday?), but you really get to see Pleo move and interact.

That's a cute little bugger. I'm sure as the technology evolves a bit this little dinosaur will become infinitely more responsive and active as well.
So when are we gonna see a fast moving Raptor robot?
I seem to remember seeing one of these on tv the other night in the last minutes of Surface.
Maybe I'm just crazy.
Not a bad price
