Nintendo's DS Lite gets pretty in pink

We're all well beyond the point where there's any kind of surprise when a device gets made over in yet another color -- especially pink -- so save that aghast look for something a little more unusual. Nope, sorry, that won't be the price either; the "Noble Pink" DS Lites will weigh in at an almost-average ¥16,800 ($144 US), and will see release July 20th overseas. Which means if nothing else we'll get them around or before the Wii drops in Q4, though hopefully not before the elusive, highly desireable black market black Lite.

The pink looks nice, but I prefer my black one :) This is probably the first time in gaming history that I'm happy to be european, though we where the last ones to get the machine. The black DS lite is sooooo cool.

Almost average? That's the exact same price as the DS-L Japanese price. The mouse is right there, all you have to do is move it around and click. They call that "research."

The DS screen really isn't all that small, and the resolution is great. I don't know what you're talking about, Keith. Maybe if you tried it, you'd see.

Seems like a dubious assumption. The pink version of the original DS never made its way to these shores. I certainly hope it'll be different this time around, but I see no reason to expect pink DS Lites this side of the Pacific.

That reminds me of a camp I went to. We had to create a product, and we made the Gamegirl. With such accessories as 'Tanning Light"(Screen Light) and the "Juicy Juicer" (AC adapter)
