Nyko reveals cord-free adapter for Wii Nunchuck, retrofitters rejoice
Oh sure, one could argue (quite successfully, we might add) that Nyko's Wireless Nunchuck was quite the blessing for those sick and tired of the factory tether, but what about all us chaps and dames who already purchased Nintendo's version of the Nunchuck? Fret not, Wii faithful, as Nyko is coming to your rescue once more. The aptly-titled Cord-Free Adapter for Wii Nunchuck enables current wired Nunchuck owners to simply holster their peripherals, wind up the cord and enjoy all sorts of wireless freedom. Granted, we still feel that this February-bound accessory is priced a touch high at $19.99, but hey, it's cheaper than buying an all new third-party 'chuck, eh?

Cool!
another piece of wii-cessories junk. When wii go obsolete, i will have a lot of junk to toss out. tennis racket, light sabre, sword and shield, shot guns, snipers, ...
@tom - no one forced you to buy any of that crap.
@tom:
All of those are 100% useless *except* this. Regardless, I won't be buying this because the cord doesn't bother me at all. Also, there is ENOUGH 2.4Ghz radio frequency interference already with all of my tech junk. Wireless router, WiFi and Bluetooth in BOTH the Wii and PS3, proprietary XBOX 360 wireless controllers, proprietary wireless for keyboards and mouses, Bluetooth cell phones, desktop and laptop PCs with WiFi and Bluetooth. Thankfully, my cordless phones are DECT6.0 and not 2.4Ghz...but I'm sure that the surrounding apartment units contribute plenty more 2.4Ghz interference.
Whatevs. Everyone knows the best way to play Wii Sports Boxing is to have the cable going around the back of your neck, so there's a controller on either shoulder, and to then dance around the room. How can I do that with this?
But... *why*? The cord doesn't get in the way. All this does is make it easier to lose the nunchuck and drain more batteries.
The cord does get in the way, actually, quite often.
It's constantly getting snagged on a specific belt buckle of mine. I also have a 6 month old bulldog puppy who thinks the dangling cord is her play toy.
I've been waiting for something like this to come out, I just figured Nintendo would develope their own wireless 'chuk.
I have no idea how Nintendo let the wired wireless Wii controller get past the design stage. This thing should have always been wireless. It makes no sense to have it wired because some games force you to disconnect the Nunchuk and all that attaching reataching can damage connectors. Keep in mind, this thing was designed for children to use. They aren't careful with things.
Everything's big and chunky though, it'll be fine.
Probably a better deal to sell your old chucks without a middle man and just buy the wireless ones.
Great, I have enough issues configuring all the Wiimotes, replacing batteries etc. Now I have to worry about nunchuck pairing? I envision the kids picking up the other kid's chuck. Wii-larity ensues.
Nothing that couldn't be solved with a colourful sticker or a marker pen, right?
It's a bit expensive, but worth it. Better than regularly popping the cable off
This would have to be pretty durable for some games. Mario Galaxy might be fine - but something like Raving Rabbids where you have to vigorously shake the controllers might cause something to break.
Oh, just brilliant. Yesterday I was getting pretty annoyed with the length of the cable when playing boxing on Wii Sports, I'd probably grab one of these
It still isn't the Flopinator I suggested over here:

But I guess it will do; for now...
I used to work as a troubleshooter for Nintendo and just want to let people know that if there is a problem with your remote that needs repair, Using this device will void the warranty. So if they ask, tell them you aren't using any "unlicensed products".
