Dell smartphone to launch in China this week?
We haven't heard a peep about this from anywhere else, but the inimitable Michael Arrington at TechCrunch says Dell's gearing up to launch that long-rumored smartphone in China "within days." Don't get too excited, though: even Mike says the evidence is "thin," and we doubt anything Dell eventually brings out in China will have much bearing on the rest of the world, since the Chinese government requires quite a bit of product customization for the domestic market. Still, we'll see what happens -- and if Dell manages to produce something a little more interesting than its previous efforts.

Looks like a Pre with a long face.
zzzzz
Will it use Android?
Can't really pass a final judgement until the specs are leaked/released. But could those white dots at the top right be a front-facing cam? Time will tell.
Almost certainly a light sensor (for backlight adjustment) and maybe one of those sensors to detect if you have it against your face? Looks like the iPhone in this regard anyway...
GIVE IT ANDROID
reminds me of their PDAs
Come on, the edges are too big, it needs to be more like iPhone, the screen needs to be from the DELL sign all the way to that yellow circle. Also it is too rounded, come on guys hire some design people.
One flash of light, but no smoking pistol.
I'm stuck with a valuable friend. I'm happy, hope you're happy too.
Look like an iphone to me.
And hence PS3Guy was mauled to a premature death by hordes of iPhone worshiping barbarians... :p
I totally see it... the way it looks like a cellphone. Apple totally invented that for THE IPHONE.
when i read the words China and smartphone i just will presume it is a KIRF
Looks like the original HTC Touch to me...
I want a custom Windows Mobile 6.5.
Some speculators are putting false information to pump up the stock! Dell needs to get a certification first and there is no info out there that can validate the story. Time to short! :)
speaking of phones in Asia, has any one bothered to take a look at phones in Korea? I have no idea about its ease of use and wifi and whatnot, but its fun apps are to die for, like taking a picture and shooting it on a wall through a projector or many other applications there are. Watch this video to find out what some of newer phones in Korea has to offer.
