Limited edition Final Fantasy XIII PS3 gets unboxed

Sony and Square Enix have sure taken their time building up anticipation for this one, but the new limited edition Final Fantasy XIII PlayStation 3 is now finally available in Japan, and our pals at Joystiq were lucky enough to wrangle one for an unboxing. As you can see, this one definitely takes things further than the rather understated Final Fantasy VII limited edition PS3, with it boasting a stylish matte white finish and a slightly glossier rendition of the character Lightning in pink -- and, of course, a matching white controller. Thats a blatant lie about the FFXIV beta by the way, I would recommend removing that off your auction unless you plan on scamming someone. I guessing that was your plan :)
It's been blatantly stated that its an FFXIV Campaign Code which gives someone an item when it gets released. It is NOT for Beta play.

Came out in Hong Kong in the last few days too... naturally with a Japanese copy of Final Fantasy XIII -_- Some rather crazy promotion going on around here, cosplay in the middle of busy streets and so on....

Not gonna lie, that's a pretty sexy looking console. Wouldn't be surprised if part of Sony's SKU update for next year is a white PS3 Slim. Looks good on the redesign.

Playasia lied. I've watched it for weeks waiting to preorder this. They just modified the stock status from "Preorder coming soon" to "In stock", and then to "Out of stock". They never even bothered to sell the damn thing.
Fortunate thing that there's still good deals on ebay.

I think Sony might have something if they start offering skinned PS3 slim consoles for sale (both in the US and abroad). Can you imagine what a "Batman: Arkham Asylum 2" skinned console would look like... like a big ass bowl of awesome sauce, that's what!!!!! :)

i can not personally, but my girlfriend has a PhD in japanese. and can read it, not that it really matters.

Its a Japanese game that will take a while to get translated. As it is now, its unplayable unless you can read JP.
Hence, this _bundle_ is not available in the West.
But go on griping that S-E hasn't released this yet, ignoring the 300 million strong American market on the basis of some wild anti-Americanism.
