AT&T unleashes fully featured U-verse Mobile apps for Android, Blackberry platforms

While its Windows Phone 7 devices are still on deck, owners of several Android models (Samsung Captivate(TM), HTC Aria, and soon the Motorola BRAVO™ and Motorola FLIPSIDE) and the Blackberry Curve 3G should have access to the U-verse Mobile apps iPhone (& Blackberry Torch) owners have been enjoying beginning today. Remote scheduling and downloads of select TV shows are the key features to look out for. The usual restrictions apply, requiring the U300 service package or higher for downloads while all the other features are available for all customers, but otherwise just keep an eye on the Market or App World to see when they pop up. AT&T Expands U-verse Mobile to BlackBerry Curve 3G

Continues to Deliver TV Shows and DVR Management to More Devices and Operating Systems

DALLAS, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T* today launched AT&T U-verse® Mobile for the new BlackBerry Curve 3G smartphone, an app that lets customers take their U-verse TV experience with them, wherever they go. U-verse Mobile is available today for AT&T Mobility customers on BlackBerry App World(TM), and is another example of how AT&T is delivering more TV content to customers across multiple devices.

U-verse Mobile lets U-verse TV subscribers browse the U-verse TV program guide, schedule and manage their DVR recordings, and for subscribers with qualifying TV plans, download hit TV shows over any Wi-Fi connection, and watch them on their qualifying smartphone from anywhere. The BlackBerry Curve 3G launched in AT&T company owned retail stores yesterday.

To enjoy U-verse Mobile content, you can browse or search a library of downloadable shows, and select which series or specific episode you want to download. The content is downloaded to your smartphone over a Wi-Fi connection. All AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet have home Wi-Fi installed as part of their service and get access to AT&T's entire national Wi-Fi network at no additional cost.

The app is available to all U-verse TV customers, and the ability to download and watch select content is available for customers that subscribe to the U300 package or higher. U-verse customers can upgrade their TV packages at any time with the Account Manager app on channel 9910 or at AT&T U-verse.
