@koolerz1569
Not only does it have an AWE...wait for it...SOME name, this thing looks totally BAD...wait for it...ASS!!
@Maurizio For all its awesomeness, you'll just end up using it to 'like' your friends' status on facebook......
@Maurizio No, just no. You can't use two Barney Stinson's in one sentence, it doesn't work.
Took me a while to figure out..IT wAS A MOUSE !!!!
@sakz
Glad I wasn't the only one...
@sakz clearly you are not a daily visitor of engadget, since they've covered this thing probably 5 times in the past
Well I'm E-gor.
@p0p0 Or more appropriately, iGor.
@p0p0
Do you pronounce is FrOdrick?
@grimace
No, its Fredrick FrOnkenstien.
@p0p0 there, wolf. there, castle.
@p0p0
FELBROHER!!!! (horse neighs in the distance)
@p0p0
put ze candle back!
looks like a transformer.
@Abnormality
Funny! I was think this would make a good looking Decepticon.
@Abnormality It certainly has enough moving parts to be one.
The 99 euros is proberly to cover the paper costs because i can
I want the 9 series!!
@incendy Sounds good to me!
I was all for buying one until I found out it was 99 Euros...
@PlatinumSkeet
Same, looks amazing but at 99 euros Mad Catz have priced themselves out of the market. Their just too far behind the likes of Logitech and Razor in terms of brand rep to demand that sort of price.
Cost?
@Plazmic Flame
They said in the video...
I am almost 40 years old and I think this is freakin cool.
thats a sick mouse
This thing looks BAD...wait for it...ASS!!
I see someone losing that adjustment tool...I have the sudden urge for some l4d2
Nervous to try something Mad Catz, but I'm intrigued.
Nice YF ref... =p
Holy Hell! Talk about an unfair advantage in Unreal Tournament!
OTOH, if XBox gaming has taught me anything, it's that the Mad Catz name is not one of those trusted names that evokes visions of quality and durability...
@seven5suited Well, Madcatz bought Saitek which is the company behind these products and they've made some of the best PC joysticks out there. http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/x52pro.htm
That looks like jets will come out of it at either side and take off to the moon at any moment.
I want one.
Mad catz is known for cheap, prob wont last longer than a month then break down...
@Joshua Floposky - I can almost guarantee this is a Saitek designed and built product, branded under Mad Catz. It reeks of the Saitek Cyborg series products, in form and function. So I'm guessing the quality will be better than what you are assuming.
I wish they would've branded it as Saitek.
The MadCatz name leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Hey, he gave us the finger! at 0.30.
99€??? WTF!!! halve that price and I'll buy me one though...
@Slaine
the plastic one is half that. The prices are in line with Razer.
What you mean they didn't call it the iRat?
Because lefties don't game, apparently.
@Sean O Im a lefty and I use my right hand for mousing. Is annoying though..
That thing looks like I'd get my finger stuck it and I would need to go the emergency room.
It needs more buttons.
i'll stick to my logitech revolution... =\
@silversun
same here
My carpel tunnel is flaring up just looking at it.
I can already see myself getting distracted and my pinky gets ground up in the gears.
I love my G5, but the ergonomics on this thing seem fantastic.
@rdunseith Totally agree. I am also interested in Wireless. Normally I don't trust the whole wireless for gaming, but I might give it a try on this one.
I think that guy needs a bigger ring, it's way too small for that finger.
Guess I am one of the few not surprised by the price range. It's comparable to the elite Logitech, Razer, and other gaming mice out there, so I can't see how they are "pricing themselves out of the market" with this unit.
And keep in mind, those prices were for the mid and upper range units, with much more solid construction and functionality than many of the competitors in that market. The 3 series is probably very affordable.
