The Queue: Rexxar is the best

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) is answering all kinds of questions today.

Rexxar is really strong. And brave. And cool. And the best, pretty much. He's Draenor's superhero.

Jammy asked:

Wtf, how does a 583 rogue die in a 5 man?

Painfully.

No really though, trash was easy, but the first boss of Mogu'shan Palace is actually three bosses rolled into one and bandages don't exactly do a lot of self-healing these days. Any other boss and I likely would have been absolutely fine. I also wasn't really prepared for or paying much attention to anything beyond a quick test run to see if I could bowl over heroic bosses as easily as I murdered my way through the Firelands the other night.

GabeTorres asked:

Q4tQ: When do you suppose Blizzard is going to take out the option to switch to a lower quality character? Eventually, they'll have to be like, "Alrighty, almost everyone is content with the new models, and we gave everyone enough time to upgrade their comp. Let's make sure that anyone watching this on a stream sees the best of us". Next expansion?

I imagine they'll keep it in as long as they'd like. It's just a toggle. It isn't really hurting anything. They might have a way to monitor how many people actually use the toggle and go with the old models -- if that's the case, I imagine they'd wait and see if there was a small enough percentage of people using the old models that they could safely be removed. But honestly, I think they'll just leave it in. Why not?

ScottLeyes asked:

Will the WoD Beta shut down on Tuesday, or last up until the actual release? Also, any idea yet on the data impact of CASC? I'm hearing that it's not making the installation size any smaller.

CASC isn't going to affect the installation size so much as how information is stored, accessed, and updated by the game. You can read a little more about CASC on Blizzard's original Alpha Test announcement. As far as the beta is concerned, there's been nothing to indicate that the beta servers will be shut down on Tuesday.

HobMeadows asked:

So, will the Mists Scenarios be shutting down on patch day, or will they still be around? Which is a round-about way of asking, is this the last day to get the Scenaturdist title?

Oh, the Mists scenarios aren't going anywhere at all. You won't be able to access them via the dungeon finder once you hit level 91, but they'll still exist. If you want to do them at some point after you've leveled beyond 90, you can just go talk to NPCs in the Lorewalkers area above Mogu'shan Palace.

ne0hybrid asked:

Q for the Q: In EQ, when the new models were released, there was an option to turn on all new models or just specific ones. Will the new system in WOW be similar, or will we have to choose all or none at all?

It's all or none. There's one box to either check or uncheck.

Armenius asked:

So peeps raiding on Tuesday: How do you expect that'll go?

Speaking as someone who has danced this dance plenty of times over -- I wouldn't count on raiding on Tuesday. If I were a raid leader, I would actually cancel a Tuesday raid and schedule it for another night. Patch days are notoriously up in the air and finicky, and this one in particular involves so many new things to consider and try out and keep track of on a class level that I wouldn't expect anyone to be immediately raid-ready.

Pragmatic asked:

Can you use the reagents, in their tab in the bank, when you're out in the field? Or can you only use them when standing in the bank?

I logged on the beta to check this out for myself. My character is a jewelcrafter, and in order to prospect ore, the ore must still be in your bags to click. However, uncut gems can be stored in the reagents tab. I stuck them all in said tab, rode out to the middle of nowhere in Gorgrond, opened my jewelcrafting interface and was able to cut all the gems without actually having them in my bags at all. The cut gems appeared in my bags as I finished cutting them. Pretty neat!

IanRules05 asked:

Soooooooo, what was Blackhand's name before becoming Blackhand?

Franklin.

That's it for today's Queue, but be sure to leave plenty of questions for Alex to answer tomorrow!
